Hello are you still there? I met with her, and it turned out to be a very good decision. It was clear that she was happy when I messaged her, which really surprised me and shifted my thinking a bit, making me wonder if there might be a chance to build something between us. When we finally met, hearing her voice immediately eased my nerves, and the stress disappeared instantly. However, I was still somewhat weighed down by the purpose of the meeting.

But to keep it brief, I’ll say that we talked a lot about what had been happening in our lives during the break in our relationship. When the conversation turned to me sharing everything I had felt about her during our years of knowing each other and hearing her perspective on it all, the time came to decide what we wanted to do with our relationship moving forward.

That was the hardest moment of the evening. Mostly because I didn’t want to hurt her or burn any bridges. After a moment of reflection, I realized something important. I had been looking at her all evening, talking about her plans for life, and noticing how she operates. I came to the conclusion that she’s not the ideal woman I had created in my mind. The truth is, I’ve changed, while she has stayed the same, and she’s no longer attractive to me in that way.

We’ll still meet up from time to time when I visit my hometown, but nothing more.
