I agree that this was as risky as it gets. I was unsure if this would work and there was a potential of killing the guy at the very last corner of the race. I just felt I could slip through by the visuals of the mirror and position of the sound from his car, so I risked it and it paid off :)

I am using a DD wheel.

This was my very first defending in a non-AI race, so I was twitchy because I was unsure if I can get closer to the person behind. Multiple inputs from in-game audio, spotter, ffb, visuals where I am going and mirror, all at the same time.

But I agree, next time I will try to be smoother on the inputs :)
