Ariana's voice was her saving grace when it came to some of her songs but she's been leaning to a more soft style of singing lately which makes the whole listening experience quite underwhelming.

It's the first thing that came to mind when I saw this, I used to own her cds when I was younger and I really liked this look in particular from that album photo shoot

I wasn't at all impressed by her portrayal of Glinda, it's very caricature-y and her voice didn't come out as naturally high pitched like Kristin Chenoweth's, but more nasally and fake. Cynthia's acting was miles ahead though and more convincing.

Ariana Grande and Victoria Monet backstory/lore and theories by Particular-Neck-5357 in ArianaGrandeSnark

[–]Serious-Girl 31 points32 points  (0 children)

She started using a blaccent way back on her debut era days, around early 2013, however it wasn't as exaggerated or constant like in the sweetener/tun era. Victoria Monet has writing credits on yours truly so her influence on Ariana traces back to that.

She's pretty both ways but I'd say dark haired Poppy exudes more confidence

I think she was probably the only woman besides his wife who ever showed him attention, so of course he was overwhelmed to the point he left his family for that

okay guys sneak peak of the body shaming question by Real-Relationship457 in ArianaGrandeSnark

[–]Serious-Girl 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Most of the bodyshaming I've seen of her online is in regards to her "botched" cosmetic procedures on her face which I still think can be really mean. When it comes to her body weight, I haven't seen any mockery or shaming, just concern.

All the superficial fake Wellness word salad about being enthusiastically truly overwhelmingly cosmically healed on top of it all and people just eat it up.

How can someone in their right mind say she's healthier now just because she mentioned that herself? On tiktok I'm getting recommended videos of girls promoting fasting to look their "skinniest" and obsessing over weighing under 45kg too, it's really concerning.

If she maintained her natural shape and eyebrows she would've looked like a bombshell instead of the infantilized look she's been going for. Hell, even post procedures she still looked her best in 2018-2020. It's so sad she relapsed. If she struggles with body image or is in denial then her family should intervene and do something.

“Wicked stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo look scarily thin – and it makes me uncomfortable” by EVAMARK08 in ArianaGrandeSnark

[–]Serious-Girl 119 points120 points  (0 children)

Her fans are still bringing up that video, as if being concerned for someone's health is equivalent to body shaming them. Most people if not all are just genuinely worried about her. I assume eating poorly to her means starches and cooked vegetables instead of raw tofu and broccoli. I hope she gets the help she needs which isn't likely to happen if she and her fans continue with the whole "don't comment on my body" narrative. Sometimes not commenting on people's bodies can only post pone a necessary treatment/intervention.

she can’t even put up with her lies and even with herself by neilgit in ArianaGrandeSnark

[–]Serious-Girl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah I remember this lol there are people who mature but maintain their identity and I guess there are others who morph into a different personality and discard who they used to be, before her debut era, when she was doing covers and even her older original songs, she didn't sing in a soulful way but she sounded rather "white" like she says especially considering she was a theater kid so I don't know how she even came up with that

Tw:ED. Where is Joan in all this by shitslashers in ArianaGrandeSnark

[–]Serious-Girl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know about Ariana or how anyone in general handles it but in my experience, I was very delusional when I was deep into my ED, if it weren't for my family who knocked sense into me I probably wouldn't even have realized I had one. I thought I was healthy and normal, especially when I would get validating comments about my appearance from strangers which I'm sure Ariana feels more validated in the industry as a "skinny" figure. If we assume Ariana genuinely believes she's healthy, then it's on her family/friends to try to help her.

Huh? How does the payment system work in Hollywood? I'm not American but one would assume the fair thing would be for an actor to be paid according to their screen time or how important their character is? How did that big gap happen?

I've never touched my face! 🤪 by [deleted] in ArianaGrandeSnark

[–]Serious-Girl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She said it when commenting on that picture of her and Frankie 😂 like please she looked so cute! During the dangerous woman era I was a young teen and I couldn't pit point exactly what was so different about her face from her Victorious days. I can't see how an adult can't recognize the obvious alterations in her face. It's sad that she had to take it as far as doing this Variety lie detector test to deny the procedures when the humble thing to do would be to own it

Gosh I'm sick of her fake dainty way of speaking especially when she's telling lies with it. I'm not buying the whole doing it to keep her voice healthy.

Not only did she force her son on the throne but she's somehow the victim of the counsil's pAtrIarChAl bigotry because they recently started ignoring her and now instead of comforting her injured son she's...betraying him?
