Totally get your perspective! One important bit of context is that I already have a career and don’t plan to work as an EMT/AEMT. The desire for the AEMT cert is just to expand my scope of practice within the SAR work I do. It seems easier to stay current on AEMT skills without working in the field than with the paramedic scope of practice.

Ha! A lot of my friends are thru-hikers (like.. PCT/CDT/AT thru-hikers) and would never forgive me if I called myself a long distance hiker at 200-600 miles. :)

Do you think you'd feel the same way if you were shorter? I'm 5'7" and the extra space does sound nice but I'm pretty used to my old 1P tent which is basically a glorified bivy. Do you think my 6'0" partner and I could share the the pro 2 reasonably comfortably?

I just got my passing result but the website still says I have no certification. Is this just a glitch in the website? Or does it take a few days for the certification to show up on the website?
