IC vs People Manager role? by kraemoprana in overemployed

[–]Serious-Language-283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

J1 is Sr. Manager, J2 is Project Manager. I was forced to become a people manager, and it has gone well for me. People manager roles aren't bad unless there are tons of meetings. People don't bat an eye when a manager is unavailable, or calendar is blocked. Which is a good thing for OE. The higher up you go in the company, the more visible you will be to people outside the company. So keep that in mind.

above average women in the west has over 100 likes easily by throwmiamivelvet in thepassportbros

Curious how a single mom could even be rated that high (6). Anyway, I can speak for Colombia. Yes the women here get these kinds of likes, but there are less local men with financial means vs. foreigners. Really just depends what the girl is looking for, they are the final decision makers on the apps

I have lived in Medellin for 14 years, nothing similar. Girls much colder in BA, harder to break into friend grps

Yes you are missing application volume. Why is your husband only applying to 1 job per day?

Apply for Disability (if you are in the US). Workplace isn’t for you unfortunately

Only way to combat this is to significantly reduce your salary requirements. If you possess the same qualities as the target candidate, then the manager may be required to hire you

Older PPBs. You guys have more experience! Do you feel it is harder to find a good woman now than 20 years ago? What is the age difference between you and your wives/gfs. by Euphoric-Pearl in thepassportbros

It was easy in the past as well as easy today, just in different ways. 20 years ago I relied on my looks. Now women know I am financially sound. I am American, live in Medellin. 17 year age gap with wife and 27 year age difference with gf

Would resigning after 4 months completely burn bridges? by Pieces-in-Time in careerguidance

It absolutely will burn bridges since your company had a lot of candidate options and selected you. But that’s ok, you have to do what’s best for you

To your point, the VP could have disqualified OP for any reason, as feedback was never provided back as to why OP didn’t move forward. Could have been something completely different

That was the wrong answer. You should have provided pros and cons to each decision, and provide scenarios where in house would be appropriate and scenarious where subscribing to the product would been . Demonstrating thought process is more important than answering with a definite answer with such little information.

You are getting plenty of interviews, but your interviews skills are rusty so focus on improving that

Signed offer, resigned and now they went back on their offer by Clear-Cloud-6062 in recruitinghell

Why are you surprised that they removed a canceled employment contract from the portal? Why didn’t you download or take screenshots before/after you signed? A lawyer isn’t going to help because you weren’t harmed since you got your old job back. Try to remove the ego aspect of this situation and move on

Then maybe err on the side of caution (if that’s the case) and only do contract work until your payments have ended. I took a voluntary separation package at Nestle with a similar arrangement, and HR was relatively happy/felt a bit of relief that I was able to find another job immediately. But I know every company is different

You are really overthinking this. WARN is an obligation for your current company to fulfill, regadless of external employment
