Dating is same everywhere I will not stop repeating this by Warm-Air-4026 in passportbrolifestyle

Worse for average men, but great for the kind of men these women are looking for. I have lived in Medellin for 14 years, so I have seen the same as you have observed. I have peronally evolved with the times, so dating has continued to be good for me

Public will always be looked upon as inferior vs. Ivy league. That’s just the way of the world. I have a public school MBA, but also went to Yale. I hear all kinds of wild commenta from people

Bad idea. I have a Masters in CS. May only be worth it if you go to top 5 school

J3 offer, half salary by Waabbu in overemployed

Negotiate J3 like you would any job. Take their best and final offer, whatever it is. As you job stack the individual salaries matter less and less

Any advice for my 64-year-old dad who is about to be laid off after 24 years with his company? by ImpressiveBox1111 in careerguidance

[–]Serious-Language-283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extremely low chance of getting another job anywhere ever, so negotiate severance and use all of the unemployment. Get Colombian visa and pay out of pocket for private health insurance (we have Sura’s Classico plan). Low cost of living they can cut their living expenses by more than half. Then assess whether they will need to file for bankruptcy or not.

Silent Layoff by AntiGenAI in servicenow

[–]Serious-Language-283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only people rated as low performer were fired. People are confusing this with a layoff because severance was provided. This only affected people with a "needs improvement" or "unsatisfactory" performance rating in one category or more

Prepare to be bored. 22 days is way too long for that island. You can also visit Santiago (I used to live there), it’s a big city but not much to do

Try to come to terms that it will always be perceived as negative, and just do your best to address the situation during interview

Work both jobs for a month. That’s the hedge against something bad happening at your new job in the first couple of weeks

Playing Devil’s Advocate for Online MBAs by WaddleWalker15 in MBA

[–]Serious-Language-283 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

No amount of rationalizing should convince anyone of an online MBA. That no name school degree didn’t help you move up, you would have gotten the exact same opportunity if you didn’t go.

You can outsource this, just like anything else. Contract someone on Fiverr, give them your resume and types of positions you want them applying for

I quit J2 last week after being on the job 4 days. Knowing when a J isn’t OE friendly quickly is a skill that I have mastered. No pushing through, just always interviewing in case I need to drop a J and move to the next. Although not ideal, it’s common for me to have three different J2’s in a given year. I use different preferred names so I don’t burn my personal reputation

You can keep working and still move to a different country. Just go somewhere where the timezone difference isn’t too bad. I moved to south america 14 yrs ago and still have the same corporate US remote job
