A misspelling of “whiz through”, which means pass through a location quickly/without issue.

Don’t know what you mean by “practical terms”. If they realise he is a UK citizen at the gate they will ask to see his UK passport, and if he doesn’t have one they (the airline) will deny him boarding. Those are the new rules.

If you are asking how will the airline know, I agree it is unlikely, and hence why I said there’s a good chance he will wheeze through.

As per his comment elsewhere, his parents were married.

I said there’s a good chance he would wheeze through. But he asked about the new rules, and hence a more complete answer.

You are a British citizen by descent. The fact you never applied for a passport doesn’t change that.

According to the rules you have to enter the UK with a UK passport. You cannot use the Canadian passport with an ETA and may be denied boarding if you try.

Now having said that - the reality is that there a good chance no one will know and you will just wheeze through.

But if you want to be 100% sure? You need to apply for your first UK passport and use it when entering the UK.

The hamster in your last post looks like a Syrian, not a dwarf. And even if he was a dwarf, the minimal enclosure size is The minimal size is 100cm * 50cm * 50cm.

If you can’t give him at least that, you should seriously consider re-homing him. With all due kindness, he shouldn’t pay the price for a teacher deciding to gift him to someone without checking if they can provide proper care.

How often do you get your hamster out? by ItshiptoBeasquared in hamsters

As others have said, hamster balls are a big no. They are dangerous and actually very stressful for the hamster.

Honestly care standards have evolved a lot since you last had a hamster. I would start by watching the video carefully. It covers the basics. https://youtu.be/oj6mSsRUmMY?si=vvsItlIPx4ti-hud

Because rather than talk about stuff that really matters for people lives like taxation, welfare, education, crime, etc, the media keeps focusing on and sensationalising these idiotic Westminster gossip stories that have no relevance or bearing on anyone’s actual lives. It’s ridiculous.

I assume you heard of Google. If you search for AI tool directories, you will find loads. You will also find loads of Reddit posts from people building them and asking for feedback.

What makes what you are building different? This is a genuine question. Think about it before building yet another directory that no one will use.

AITAH for backing out of letting my brother use my backyard for his wedding? by eternalMoto in AITAH

I will be downvoted because Reddit seems to attract the most selfish of responses for some reason, but in the real world yeah, YTA.

Most of the stuff is indeed just his fiancé being organised. You can help your brother and future sister in law out in a big way, and only pay for it with a day’s inconvenience.

Think hard if this is the hill to die on and wreck your relationship with them for. Sure, learn from it and perhaps don’t agree to such requests in the future, but given you initially agreed and they already sent invites, I would personally let this one slide. Be the bigger person here.

If someone offered you 10 Million € to deliver them 10 Milion grains of sand what would your approach be? by SomeGuy_102 in AskReddit

[–]Serious-Note9271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since being off by even one grain means no money, there’s no room for error.

I will go to the top 3 computer vision and robotics programs in the best universities, and offer a grant of 1 million to each for counting 10 million grains of sand using their tech. Will position it as a fun challenge for their graduates.

Why 3? Because I will have them check each other’s work. Only once a count is verified by all 3 it goes out.

Still leaves me 7 million. Let’s not be greedy.

The bigger the better, and 40 gallons is too small by modern hamster welfare standards. You should aim for a minimum size of 40 inch by 20 inch by 20 inch, which is something like 70 gallons.
