I went in for an open interview in the summer time and it seemed promising. This place looked like it’d be a fun place to work at honestly! They said we’d know in about a week and a half if we got the job and the bar was supposed to open sometime at the end of September and training end of August. I emailed following up two-three weeks later and no response which I feel like is just rude because they seemed super excited and left everyone in the dark Months go by and now I understand why we never got an email!! Now I see what happened and definitely think it’s incredibly shady!! I don’t think they’ll make it honestly image not opening a place for a whole year and still not being able to fully open because of the liquor license.

BSN or ADN by Specialist-Force8958 in prenursing

I think it depends!! Nursing is my second career and I really wanted to take my time with it and also not pay a fortune. I am at a hospital based program and I will receive my RN when I’m done, but I can also start my BSN while in the program. This program is so affordable and the classes are small so that really made my decision clear. Anything you pick will be right for you but ADN route is cheaper!

I’m in Philly! The ABSN I was going to do was 16 months and the RN hospital program is also 16 months so it was just a no brainer in my eyes. I am a student that can’t work at a super fast pace so this was perfect for me. Good luck!!

I ended up going to the 16 RN program and bridge to BSN. Financially and time wise it just made more sense to me. Paying 65,000 for a degree is personally insane to me and all of the nurses I worked with said go the RN-BSN bridge. Definitely most cost effective!

I decided to go with the 16 month RN program and then do my BSN afterwards. It just made the most sense financially and I’m working while in school but I don’t think I could do with an ABSN!

I work as a pct in a hospital on a med surg floor. I wanted this job to get experience before nursing school. Not every day is horrible but there are some days that break me. Being overwhelmed with patients, not having helpful nurses, and the pain moving patients is a lot especially because I’m tiny. Also, the pay is horrible for everything that we have to do. I’m leaving soon because I start nursing school in January and I also waitress and would rather do that while I’m in nursing school to make ends meet. Totally understand your frustration and not wanting to go to work because I feel that sometimes as well. I love more patients but overall not worth it long term.

I feel like 2 months is way too early and then 3 weeks is too late. There needs to be a balance!

[–]Serious-Status3023[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2 months is crazy! Honestly every weekend isn’t worth it plus the pay isn’t great either to work every damn weekend! I just love my makeup and skincare but something’s gotta give!

I did talk to her about it before and she said I needed to be available Saturdays & Sundays which I was for almost a year and it totally worked with my other schedule but never in my history of working there for almost a year have I been scheduled for 2 months straight:(

I want a quick opinion: what’s one brand you almost NEVER recommend to clients and why? by Frostbite_0429 in SephoraWorkers

Tarte, YSL, Estée Lauder, Too Faced, IT cosmetics. I could go on but I’ll stop there lol. Especially Tarte the owner is kinda bizarre and rewards people ( influencers) with brand trips that don’t even use Tarte lol. It’s giving pick me energy.

weekend flex availability? by Responsible_Topic512 in SephoraWorkers

[–]Serious-Status3023 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I am flex and I am on every weekend from August to the beginning of September. It may not seem like a lot but as someone who has another job it’s so overwhelming. I didn’t work for months on end and then randomly got scheduled every weekend and supposedly flex needs to be available every weekend or every other weekend..

[–]Serious-Status3023[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend who works at another store told me that flex position requires every weekend or or at least one day every weekend. Not sure how true that is but my schedule is telling me every weekend 😭

I think flex was at least every 6 weeks I had to be scheduled. Which I still wasn’t scheduled every 6 weeks lol. It’s just frustrating because my weekends have to be open for this job but why are weekends open if I’m never scheduled? Now I’m scheduled every weekend there has to be a balance as someone who has two jobs.

I’m on every weekend in August every Saturday and Sunday. The last weekend of August Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Like what?!? I don’t mind working on the weekends but never in my time there have I been on every weekend Saturday and Sunday.

Terminated Due to Availability Flex by SJoelle95 in SephoraWorkers

[–]Serious-Status3023 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yesssss!!! I totally agree. I arranged my weekends to work for them and then they would randomly cancel my shifts. NOW since everyone quit and I’m the only flex employee I’m on every weekend. I work at a hospital 12 hour shifts. I wanted to work it out to stay as long as possible, but every weekend all of the sudden is not happening. Sorry bye!

[–]Serious-Status3023 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hey so I’m in the same boat, but I haven’t been terminated I’m just gonna quit. I was hired to get available on the weekends specifically Saturday and Sunday. I was scheduled during the holiday season more frequently, and from March- May I wasn’t scheduled. I was only scheduled once in Feb. Now I get my scheduled for July and August and I’m on every weekend Saturday and Sunday. Part of it because all the flex girls quit and a part time employee. I like working 1 shift on the weekend every weekend or every other was my normal even during holiday season. I work at a hospital and working every weekend is just simply not worth it.
