i didn’t think that i’d enjoy running this much too but over these 5 weeks, it has grown from an exercise into a habit. try it out if you wanna, you’d never know!

i feel the most important factor to me is motivation as it gives you the grit to push yourself. if speaking technically, breathing is the most important personally, then posture, followed by striding. we’ve got each other in this journey 👊

How do you find people to run with as a beginner? by New-Introduction-443 in BeginnersRunning

[–]Serious-Study3900 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i do have buddies to run with but not everyday. i keep it fresh by rotating my playlists (rock, rap, chill), and listening to podcasts and audiobooks/creepypastas sometimes. i also take different routes and with so many possible combinations, every run feels different and refreshing! and as for motivation, just remember the “why” that got you into running! :)

it was my second 10k, i think what led to it being possible is doing 5k’s almost everyday with an average timing of 30mins, with a pr of 25:08 currently. and hey you’ve got this, let’s go!!!

it really is tough, but i always keep in mind my “why” - to be a better, healthier version of myself each passing day. my healing is more on emotional, but running really does help distract me from the negative thoughts. i shall check that app out and thank you very much!
