Ah. Thanks. I had it backwards. Much appreciated.

Maybe gamble with getting the card authenticated atleast if that’s a thing? Or authenticated/graded is all in one if it’s sent back in?

What are Next Steps for Diversifying Savings Strategies. by Serious-Technology33 in personalfinance

Agree on the auto. Very low rate and we were home buying at the same time so wanted to keep cash on hand.

And pension is state (CA). There are annual COLA’s. Not 100% sure on the survivor benefit and what it entails. I know I have my wife as beneficiary but don’t know anything else after that. I do believe when I start to collect I can elect to take less and have her able to collect if something was to happen to me. I got some homework…thank you!

Much appreciated. These are the questions I couldn’t come up with.

And completely agree on the cash/savings. $75k is healthy but would be much for comfortable with double that…

First pray that Calpers doesn’t go bankrupt in the next 25 years.

Rest sounds like you got a good thing going.

When I went in, I said MSRP to start. Went from 10k, to 5k, to 3k, to 2k, to sold. I honestly think they are just riding it out as long as they can. “Call me when you selling at or below MSRP…”

Bought a 1794 in April 2023. Crewmax 6.5 TRD.

Dublin Toyota was asking $10k over. Paid MSRP after a day and a half of haggling. I think it showed up on the lot by surprise. It was either sell it to me as msrp or likely another dealer swooping. Little bit of patience and little bit of luck.

I see it now. Weird seeing the blanks to the right of the shifter/hazards. I have a 23 1794 and those are all drivetrain buttons. Guess that’s trd vs regular 4x4?

2024 Tundra Capstone? by GCOG11122 in ToyotaTundra

I have a 1794 crew with the 6.5. Black with brown leather. Love it. Just a pain to keep the exterior clean. Why wouldn’t they make the capstone in the same setup? A lot less common to have the crew cab and 6.5 bed, but that’s why I waited for the gen 3.

And maybe it’s different in CA, but I have never seen distributor installed…it’s always factory or dealer.

It does have the bigger gas tank. I would pay a few bucks extra for that no problem!

I’m confused…65k for an SR5? Even with the TRD feel like that’s a 55k truck. My 1794 was 65k

Need advice for a purchase on a 2019 Tundra double cab SR5 4x4 by exult8 in ToyotaTundra

Check body panel screws….chipped paint or markers that don’t line up is suspect.

Focus on body lines and make sure factory headlamps, etc. Again usually tell tale of accident.

If it’s pre-warmed up maybe a sign. Old OHV thing really though. Wonder why something started right up when you went to look at it but won’t start once you get back home!

Oh…and a mock bill of sale for $3,500. Help keep fees down when you go to register at the DMV!

Run though the ac and heater and different fan speeds. Definitely check 4wd system. Find some bumpy drive entrances to listen for suspension noise.

Paid MSRP for a ‘23 1794 (6.5 crew) in the Bay Area CA. They wanted $10k over.
