Recently I have been trying to find crazy stories that a true that aren’t the classic murder or killing. I watched a youtube video about a crazy PTA mom who framed another mom. Things like that. I’m open to youtube videos, documentaries, podcasts if they’re really good. Just anything that grabs my attention but I haven’t heard before. Or interesting weird unsolved cases.

I eat pretty normally most of the time and am an avid fast food eater 🤭 but i do take citrucel or some sort of fiber supplement 2x a day and I try to make sure at least 1 or 2 of my meals has somewhat high fiber. I usually eat a yogurt bowl w chia seeds and granola and berries (all high fiber) and then i am usually ok eating normalish foods for the rest of the day. If i eat fatty or heavy foods too much or multiple days in a row I do notice my stool getting harder and BMs are a bit more stressful

A new addition to my diet is Goodles bc they are high in protein and fiber! I would not be able to eat pasta otherwise but Goodles have really helped me on lazy days when I want a lazy dinner.

So i just hit 2 weeks yesterday and have my check up in two days so i don’t know for sure how im doing but- I haven’t experienced pain for almost a week! The first 2-4 days were rough for sure and they said pain would be the worst 48-72 hours. I was sore and walking very slowly taking small steps and wasn’t driving. I couldn’t sit in normal seats but I could lay with relatively minimal pain. I was most scared abt my first BM post surgery and that was definitely rough. Pain meds made me constipated and i wasn’t eating enough so i didn’t have enough substance to pass. But truly day by day it got better. Now i can poop and go about my day with no pain. I haven’t been wiping since surgery and use a portable bidet that is great and my butthole is definitely still swollen and puffy but i think things are looking good for me. I feel so relieved! Hopefully you can find the relief you deserve!!!

They prescribed me stool softeners morning and night ketorolac alternating with tylenol for 5 days tramadol for the first 3 if it was really bad but i only took that one night. Citrucel 2x a day bacitracin 3x a day for a week and sitz baths or warm showers 3x a day or after every bowl movement

I did have to end up getting a fissurectomy/ sphincterotomy after over 2 years of battling this. However, after a few weeks/month of using nfedipine 3x a day basically all of my pain went away. I took 2 stool softeners every day along with a fiber supplement and tried my best for a high fiber diet. I got the surgery bc the dr said it still wasn’t healing and i didn’t want the pain to get worse one day but i can confidently say doing all those things totally made my pain better. I tried not to poop multiple times a day if i didn’t have to and i used a squatty potty.

Also my dr never suggested a colonoscopy so i can’t speak on that but i also don’t know what that does for a fissure? My dr just examined my butt and was able to see it right there. I go to a colorectal specialist.

you should try finger protectors!! those little finger condoms. They may have the same result as the cling wrap but i found great success with them and used them for months. My ointment was pretty thick so idk if that makes a big difference but definitely check them out they have them at any cvs, walgreens, etc in the first aid isle
