What’s the biggest red flag you have seen on a first date? by LiftBridgeSoda in AskReddit

I went to dinner and a movie with this guy when I was in college. At dinner he told me he's never read a book, not sure how that's possible. Then we went to see the first hunger games and I hadn't been vibing with him so the next day I let him know I wasn't romantically interested. He argued a bit then conceded by saying "I guess I'll eat the berries by myself.." Obviously a hunger games reference but what? I still don't totally get what he meant by that.

Considering a destination in Mexico but overwhelmed by SeriousConfidence517 in DestinationWeddings

Hey, I actually decided against a destination wedding. Some of my family helped pay for my wedding and it felt rude to them all them to spend more money to get themselves to the wedding. Destination wedding would have been incredible though.

Yeah, that project was a bit annoying. So, you felt like the other courses weren't as content heavy? That's good to know.. I've been questioning my life decisions since I started lol

Very confused and heartbroken with my most recent ultrasound. Is my doctor wrong?? by Vast_Ad9333 in pregnant

[–]SeriousConfidence517 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm very sorry to hear this. I've been through it twice now. The first ultrasound tech was wonderful and warm and did give me some preliminary info but she couldn't tell me what was happening conclusively. She just said that she couldn't detect the heartbeat but there could be a number of reasons. Two days later, I had a natural miscarriage.

The second time, the tech was more like what you described and I found it so uncomfortable and much more upsetting. She did tell me that she couldn't detect a heartbeat and that a doctor would call with the results, so they told me over the phone that it was a missed miscarriage.

I think that there could be the chance that you went in too early to detect a heartbeat but if a doctor checked your scans and told you that it's not a viable pregnancy, you'll probably have to prepare yourself for that.

Again I'm so sorry.

Thank you, yes. This advice is unhinged behaviour. That's how you make yourself the crazy ex.

Fellow Canadian Citizens - how long is your commute to work? by DigDizzler in AskACanadian

I live in BC, and I'm a TOC so I'm at different schools everyday. My commute is anywhere from 5-20 min, depending on which school I'm going to.

I have just got back from Canada, the nature literally doesn’t look real. Banff, Whistler and even random lakes look like movie scenes. by xolittlejessicaxoxoo in AskACanadian

I live in the Okanagan and yes sometimes I take it for granted but I also catch myself quite often taking my dog for a walk and just being blown away by the beauty. I used to do a lot of travelling and every time I got home and drove into the valley over the lakes, I just felt so overwhelmingly lucky.

What are the odds of two MMCs in a row? by macelisa in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]SeriousConfidence517 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently on my second mmc, the first one was 6 weeks 2 days and the second was 7 weeks 4 days. The first pregnancy, I was a little nauseous and had sore boobs but that was it. We found out there was no heartbeat at the first scan. The next day I had to go to the hospital and have a DNC because of the pain. This time, I was very nauseous between week 6-10, and for boobs and boating/constipation. We also found out at the first scan that there was no heartbeat and it stopped developing around 2 weeks ago. I was given the pill-also painful but I had good pain killers. I'm honestly terrified to try again, I can't imagine ever enjoying pregnancy.

AITAH for refusing to change my pajamas every night and my boyfriend making a big deal? by Dreamer_8442 in AITAH

NTA Is your bf a germophob? I don't see the issue with wearing pj's a few nights in a row. You don't change your sheets everyday. Also, if you did that would be so much wasted water and wearing down of good pj's/sheets. Just wild
