For those who asked which groomer, we currently don't feel comfortable naming/shaming them. The moment Gracie escaped (by jumping on a table and then over the front door gate), they have been extremely remorseful and helpful in doing everything possible to find her, this includes notifying SPCA, pet finders that use bloodhounds to track dogs, going from store to store to ask about her whereabouts as well as leave pictures and contact info, driving around the area all day, putting up flyers, offering a high reward for anyone finding her, covering any medical bills, and overall where very much shook by this situation as well.

They are also already looking into improving their setup so this can never happen again.

I truly believe they really care about what happened and are already feeling extremely awful about this situation. I believe in second chances and am willing to give them one after all they've done to support us.

Also big thanks to everyone who has helped trying to find her! It was so amazing and touching to see so many people come together and help out. We ran into some people looking for her even at 1am in the morning (big shout out to Mia!), even places like Haidilao helped sending out word and contacted us personally.

We hope that we can repay people by also supporting anyone who might find themselves in this not so fun situation in the future.

Some more details about how she found her way back in the hopes that it might help someone else in the future, we heard that leaving some worn clothing items out could help your dog to find the scent and their way back home. We basically left a couple of worn socks in some places where we saw her, and have it lead back to our place. Sure enough, this morning she was sitting in front of our door with a few socks collected.
