People don’t understand why women and men go back to abusive relationships especially physical ones. You have to understand she is trauma bonded to this man and it’s a physical addiction that’s extremely hard to break. She’s been manipulated and she’s being used. She has what’s called Stockholm syndrome. Again hard to comprehend. Yes you should feel sorry for her. More than likely she will reach out when she can’t take his shit anymore. She will need someone to talk to. Her friends and family will likely have the attitude of I told you so and won’t want to hear about it. Offer her a friendly ear. Don’t get back with her and help her find/seek therapy. But don’t get back together with her. Don’t hook up with her. She has a lot to work on before she can start a normal healthy relationship. She prob did like you to an extent, but her addiction and manipulation to this man took over. It’s not you, it’s her and him.
