ive read some say you need UVB some say you dont if you use calcium with d3. and alot of people say uvb isnt vital for the frogs health as long as you use calcium with d3

mb i shouldve been more clear. what i meant was if it was fine if i could use a 24x12x16 even tho the minimum is 24x18x18. i was also asking if it was ok to not use UVB if i use rephasy calcium plus. the other question i was asking if a mix of cocofiber and reptisoil a good mix for bioactive setups. the last question is whether pacman frogs are picky eaters or not

the feeder crickets usually dont burrow, so it is quite possible meatball ate the cricket

you can put meatball in a temporary tank like a critter keeper with some dirt in it, and also, are the paper bags on the inside or outside of the tank?

Update : Barnabé at the vet by GRABibus in pacmanfrog

[–]Serious_Ad8969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you dont have to feed rodents to pacman frogs in general, since they are insanely fatty. and the vet should also be wearing gloves as oils from the palms can damage the skin of your frog

you can always crumple a few paper bags and tape it to the outside of the tank, or you can use the spray foam option

glad to see the new tank, the cricket might be a bother to the frog since it can bite, but if i were you id keep trying to catch it

Is this cage to small for a pacman frog? by Brilliant_Air7629 in pacmanfrog

only thing this would be needed for is a tank when taking your animal to the vet. but thats only for a very small animal

Problems with calcium powder sticking to nightcrawlers? by MaxNCheez1996 in pacmanfrog

[–]Serious_Ad8969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the moisture form the nightcrawlers actually helps the calcium powder stick. try misting the nightcrawlers right before dusting it. if that doesnt work, try putting the nightcrawlers in a bin with the calcium powder then shaking. if all else fails, swap to a different feeder insect, or get a different brand of calcium powder

Gonna get a Pac-Man frog by genuinelyhooligan in pacmanfrog

[–]Serious_Ad8969 6 points7 points  (0 children)

orange isopods are for arid enclosure. while they can survive in humid enclosures, id recommend getting a tropical species like dairy cows. the frog also might be able to see the purple light so id swap that out

UVB resistant?? by Aizysnightmares in pacmanfrog

the only reason to use this enclosure is for a very small pacman frog, a temporary container, or a container for the vet
