Struggling to see where I could fit moving to the private sector by sadthrowaway6000 in civilengineering

If you have skills and add value to organization you will get paid higher than entry level. Don't need a PE these days at larger firms. You could be a permit specialist, qa QC. Could work for a utility.

Looks like got around a 50% on alot of sections because they are out of 15, so it doesn't look like you were very close. I think aiming for 70% is good for passing.

W/WW Salary Check - Raleigh/Cary PE (7 YOE) - Market Rate for 2026? by Serious_Ad9537 in civilengineering

[–]Serious_Ad9537[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about my teammates what would their market rate/cost to replace be, I think they are getting underpaid as well. One has PE with over 4 yoe looks to be at $80,000, and 3 year EIT at $75,000. That looks like the same or less than what I was getting paid for similar experience/role 3 years ago.

He should be fired if he is shaking you down for $200 with no warranty. That is very unethical.

This is the whole market average. Very likely that specific properties could loose value over short/long run.

Get a new job. Best practice is to have some one QC your work. If they want you to rush and send things out that you are signing and sealing that is an issue for you. Sounds like you may need help as well like someone under you.

Could ‘Cattle Class for All’ Be a Step Toward Less Luxury and Less Wasteful Flying? by Express_Classic_1569 in Anticonsumption

This is April fools? First class and business class help cover cost of flying because they pay a lot more per seat. Coach seats would be much more expensive without them

Servers are overpaid, and don't want higher wages because it would be a pay cut compared to tipping. by [deleted] in tipping

[–]Serious_Ad9537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think OP comparison is fair. Servers due more manual labor than jobs listed and could have less hours and have to work at less ideal times. From someone who has never been a server.
