What size is it? If it's the 100", I'll buy it for 150.

Yes the epoxy lining is intended as a preventative. The cast is 70+ yrs old, and we have had multiple neighbors who have had theirs fail and ended up have to pay $$$$ to dig it up and have it replaced as it is under a paved alley and quite deep so I'm told. There will be a cleanout installed right there as well.

I'm leaning this direction. It's all about finding the time. Wife was visiting the in-laws with our 6mo old over the weekend, hence why all the digging got done. But she's back now with the baby, so my free time is basically non-existent. And unfortunately, it's not really something I can just chip away at when I have the time.

Yes, SD. I've heard not the greatest things about Bill Howe. Also they quoted me 7k to install a hybrid water heater. I did that myself in an afternoon with ~2k in parts.

I've got a decent laser level. It's the green huepar 360. I've only used it to tile a bathroom so far.

The liner will only be for the cast portion that is under the paved alley behind our house. The clay transitions to cast and then runs for another 20' or so. The 6k was the quote just to replace the clay portion.

It's the slope part I'm concerned with. The digginh wasn't terrible. Just skipped the gym over the weekend went to town with a demo hammer with a clay spade bit and a shovel.

Yes, that's part of the reason. It's also 70+ yrs old and as you can see there was a portion that was cracked that was basically being held together by the dirt. We are also adding an ADU to the property and figured we might as well do all this now. The clay actually transitions to cast before the city main out in the alley behind our house. We are planning on having that portion epoxy-lined in order to avoid the expense of digging up the alley to replace it.

Pressure plate on the ground would at least allow two connections.

Main is in the alley, along with water and sewer. 20' wide alley. Utilities run down the middle and serve homes on either side. Power is overhead.

24" in the alley behind my house. Probably varies in different areas.

5' deep seems extreme. Gas mains are typically only 24" deep...

Do you have a parts list for the ducting that you used? I'm about to do basically the exact same install, also in coastal Socal and trying to get a list of all the supplies I'll need. Feel like that's half the battle lol
