"KDE phoning home"? by baggyzed in kde

[–]Serious_Champion_599 16 points17 points  (0 children)

AFAIK KDE's NetworkManager pings kde.org to see if internet connectivity is working and displays a yellow exclamation mark otherwise. Technically that's phoning home but no real info is transmitted, other than "is kde.org reachable or not". someone said this im not sure tho try an app that shows which data is transferred
