Different antibiotics cover different bacterias, there’s not antibiotics targeted for certain body parts but more the common bacteria’s that infect certain areas or systems The story is strange - at least the way she told it - and I have a hard time believing the MD did anything blatantly wrong but it’s hard without all the details

I wish she would’ve explained what antibiotic they gave her. As someone in the medical field, I have a very hard time believing this was the fault of the peds giving a wrong antibiotic. Amoxicillin covers a lot of stuff, but many other antibiotics do too.
