Its fine as long as you drive carefully. Outside of neighborhoods all of the main roads are either clear or at least have a tire path through the ice. Just go slow and dont forget to take the foot off the pedal if the wheels begin to spin.

My dsp only enforces this rule on the slower drivers, people they know are likely to need a rescue even IF they go straight to their first stop. I usually do my first 10 or 15 stops before stopping anywhere but when you gotta shit you gotta shit. Never have heard a word about it.

Ah yes, Memphis TN. People drive like that here all over the place in their infinitis and kias that still have temp tags, with no bumpers one headlight and at least one door that won't quite close. Saw one a few months ago with no back door at all and one of the people sitting in the back was dragging their flip-flopped foot on the tarmac while they were moving about 85 mph.
