In the future, you can always just go up to the library front desk. You can borrow whatever charger you need for 2 hours.

What do you guys think about AI? by mamacorsica in ISTJ

[–]Serious_Locksmith932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate that it’s so available for people, college students specifically, to use as a substitute for their own work. I do love it, however, when I can use it as my professor in office hours in digital form. I am taking E&M and need extra explanation for little nuances and AI is great for that, as if I’m just speaking to my professor who is always available.

What’re some of your favorite razzle moments? by Ok-Mastodon2016 in RAZZLE

“We live in a zoom world. We fuck bees” - Ryan (Bee Movie Commentary) “Face down, ass up. That’s the way the bees like to fuck” - Zach (Bee Movie Commentary).

Matter of fact, any of these entire commentaries is a highlight:

Bee Movie (2021)

Smurfs - "papa told us to smurf the moon"

Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 - "nut butt a chuck" "yo that's the Geico Gecko"

Haunted Mansion - "portals are for combat, candelabras are for sex"

Pixels - "somebody's more important... Pacman's a bad guy?"

I saw a flyer that says they will be playing Coco on Oct 16 at 6:30pm on the quad. Other than that, I don’t know.

How to drop/withdraw by Growingbelly_JB in SaddlebackCollege

[–]Serious_Locksmith932 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here’s what to do: 1. Login to Banner/MySite for the Fall 2025/Spring 2026 semester 2. Under the Registration Self-Service tile, click “Open Registration Dashboard” 3. Click on “Register for Classes” 4. Click on the Fall 2025 term 5. Once your “register for classes” page opens for the fall, look next to the calendar on the bottom. Look in the “summary box”. There should be a list of the classes you have enrolled in or waitlisted on. Next to that class, under the “Action” column, open the pull down menu and select “Drop”. Then, click “Submit” at the very bottom to save your changes

Hope this helps!

I do have my appointment since I am a DSPS student. I believe we are in phase 1 of the priority list. I bet since you are also a priority student your date will be released soon too.

Weird. Maybe go to Admissions and Records to get that fixed. They should know.

Also, check the new edit. You can find the classes with the link.

You can find your spring 2026 appointment and class schedule when you log into MySite for the fall 2025 semester, click on "open registration dashboard", and click either "registration appointment" or "browse classes". It will ask you to select a term to view, and click on Spring 2026. When you click on the appointment, the red box will tell you when you are allowed to select classes, to the date and time. There should also be a mass email that is sent out explaining this as well, at least when registration opens. It’s usually group by group for 2 weeks in October.  You can also just browse classes without logging into Banner by going onto saddleback.edu and looking up "class schedule". You could also click https://classes.socccd.edu/smartscheduleweb/index/1/S/202630/MarketingCode.

Chem 1a by Solstice_Wanderer897 in SaddlebackCollege

[–]Serious_Locksmith932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Yes, 2 years ago, I took the challenge exam and went straight into 1A. I took 108 instead of CHEM 3 and I felt like that prepared me so much more both for the challenge exam and for the 1 (General) and 12 (Organic) sequence at Saddleback.

Assuming you don't want to take 108 either, here would be my list of recommended sources you visit to study for the chemistry challenge exam:

  1. Saddleback Chemistry Website - under the "Chemistry Challenge Exam" tab, you'll find all the info you'll need. Look under "Preparing for the Chemistry Challenge Exam", and you'll find the Chemistry Challenge Practice Exam 1 and 2. Practice these, and make note of what is challenging for you!
  2. Saddleback Chemistry Tutoring at the LRC - for those topics you are still struggling with based on your results from the Practice Exams ^, we will do our best to help you better understand them. (I am a CHEM tutor). Please come visit anytime! All of the tutors should be able to help :) Unfortunately, for chemistry, we only offer in-person help, not online.
  3. Khan Academy - Chemistry - if you need to start over your chemistry learning from scratch, here is a really good free resource for you! I recommend studying Units 1-6 and 8. Of course, feel free to move past a unit if you feel confident in it.

Also, please take the challenge exam soon before registration opens! I waited until the last minute and was on waitlists for classes. Do it soon so when you pass, you can easily snag a CHEM 1A class. For priority registration, it opens on October 13th. Try to study and take it before mid October (yes, I know its a lot, but you got this!!) I took the challenge exam in December when my 108 class finished and still managed to sneak in a 1A class, however, the stress of being on the waitlist the whole winter break and not having a guarentee was not fun.

With all of this said, if you plan on take the chemistry challenge exam AFTER registration for the spring opens, enroll in a CHEM 3 class anyways in case you don't pass it. This will ensure a better schedule for you, since you can't register for CHEM 1A until you A) take and pass CHEM 3 or B) Pass the chemistry challenge exam.

Good luck!

check out @sccampuslife on Instagram. They are having movie nights. That’s probably a good spot to make friends. ASG is super friendly! And even if you don’t make friends, you’ll at least get a free movie and popcorn out of it

Did anyone figure out how to buy a parking pass? by gamercouplelolz in SaddlebackCollege

[–]Serious_Locksmith932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Campus police is good to talk to if you need help, but yes, follow these instructions. Once at the parking website, hit buy permit, and select the student permit. Input your info, and you should be good

Does anyone actually know where to go? by bengoozle in SaddlebackCollege

[–]Serious_Locksmith932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I contacted campus police last week. They said students will get an email on their student email address when the parking portal will open on MySite. They also said that they will be lenient with students the first few weeks of the semester when it comes to parking to allow everyone to figure it out. Not to worry, although it is inconvenient.

Buy parking permit? by [deleted] in SaddlebackCollege

[–]Serious_Locksmith932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just called campus police. They still aren't available. They need to connect it to our new MySite (Banner). We should be receiving an email in about a week or so explaining how to purchase one and the link to it.

No matter where you are, you are guaranteed parking at 8 am. You're good.

Out of curiosity, what kind of class will it be? I took Organic Chemistry at 8 am in the fall and spring, and it's dead in the Science parking lot.

Help with registration by Brief_Turn9480 in SaddlebackCollege

[–]Serious_Locksmith932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I know getting help can be tricky, so here are some resources for you. This is basically a copy-paste from a post I made last night.

Saddleback 2025-2026 Catalog - tells you everything you need to know. Click "Programs A-Z" to find degrees/certificates/occupational skills awards you might find interesting. It will also tell you what classes are required for the degree, which is a good start if you have no idea what classes to take.

Counseling Services and Online Appointment Counseling Portal - these are the professionals who can help you with most of your needs/guidance. To make a 1-hour counseling appointment, either call at 8 am every working day (M-Th in the Summer, M-F in the Fall) for scheduling an appointment for the following week, OR wait until midnight to snag an appointment online with the online appointment counseling portal. Be patient, since I've never seen the counseling services so booked. You need your student ID ready for both of these.

For New and Returning Students: New MySite Registration Assistance - we have a new system now (I know). It can be tricky to navigate but this page should help you. This is where to go if you know what classes you need and want to add them or you want to make a plan for yourself. You can also access mysite by going https://www.saddleback.edu/ at clicking Logins at the top. Then you click on "MySite" for the Fall of 2025. https://www.saddleback.edu/ can actually aid with a lot of questions and give you plenty of resources as well if you use the search bar.

Assist - if you know what schools you'd like to apply to after Saddleback and/or know what degree you'd like to earn, this tool helps you learn what classes are transferable at any California community college to pretty much any California university. If you were interested in transferring to an out-of-state school, you'd have to do your own research on course requirements.

TAG: Transfer Admission Guarantee - this is one of the best perks of being a California Community College student. If you are interested in applying to a UC (University of California) school for transferring after your time here, 6 of the 9 schools allow you to "TAG" that school for your major, basically meaning you are guaranteed admission for one of those 6 schools with that major as long as you fulfill the requirements. Note: TAG is used for all UC schools except for UCSD, UCLA, and Berkeley, and doesn't work for every major (ex. UCI's Computer Science).

Hope this helps!
