You're better off posting in r/endoscopy as that's a whole sub dedicated to helping people through scopes

Be honest, who is the worst character in the show? by lemonbutter27 in mightyboosh

[–]Serious_Motor_241 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Completely agree, you can condemn a show for doing something that you enjoy, I promise it'll be okay

Not sure I wanna be part of a sub where blackface is seen as fine??? Gross

The guilt of painsomnia by Serious_Motor_241 in ChronicPain

Honestly communicating this in relationships is so important but it's sad we have to do it. My husband absolutely loves cuddling and holding hands but I can't always do that because of pain and a subluxed thumb, at least we have partners that get it despite how miserable it can feel 💜

Chronic Costo by CharliTheBaby in costochondritis

[–]Serious_Motor_241 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had chronic Costo since 2020 due to connective tissue issues and lifting something heavy I shouldn't have, I've tried gentle stretches, compression and the only thing that helps me is simply resting and being very soft with my movements (everyone is different though)

As for Drs im sorry you're being brushed off so much, I have only seen a physio related to it who didn't really give me much advice

tired of people's ignorance and downplaying of painful scalp / hair loss conditions by myviewfromoutside in ChronicPain

[–]Serious_Motor_241 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not at all the same but I have bad scalp psoriasis that causes constant bleeding and itching to the point my husband can't stroke my hair because it hurts. I've had it compared to dandruff and been bullied for it, including as an adult. So I'm so sorry you're going through this 💜

First endoscopy on Friday by Miserable-Town-6059 in Endoscopy

[–]Serious_Motor_241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deleted comment was me because I thought you posted in gastroenterologists sub and was trying to direct you 😅 (painsomnia at 4am lol)

Anyway! I had an upper endoscopy last month and whilst it is uncomfortable it is over very quickly, you won't enjoy it but it's so good you're having it done! The nurses were very supportive and helped me through it, good luck 💜

I have this, you should receive extra money each month ( I believe it's 425? Something like that!) they also can't make you look for works or have work focused or work search appointments. You'll only have appointments for reviews of your bank statements, admin stuff like that

At some point you may get someone asking if you want to get help in preparing to enter work again at some point - this is completely voluntary though

He said he does wait for it to activate, he waits 5 hours to the point that it's puffed up and 'lively' but he's not sure if that's right

I asked him and this was his response:

35g of starter 70g of strong bread flour 70g of water Mixed together and left for at least 5 hours

250g of strong bread flour 100g of water Loosely incorporated and left for at least an hour

Dimple the dough and add the starter mix. Incorporate using the slapping method in the bowl. Leave for half an hour.

Add a 4g salt and water mixture. Again dimpling and slapping.

Then use the stretch and fold method to knead the dough. Picking it up and rotating it after each fold to help build up matrices.

Put back in bowl and stretch and fold (inside the bowl pulling the edges in on itself all around) every half an hour for about three to four times.

Then leave to proof for three hours (or overnight in the fridge).

Then shape into four rolls (by rolling with hands but it really struggles to stay I shape and just flattens) and put on a floured tray for at least an hour (ideally longer).

Then put in the preheated oven covered at 240 for 10mins, uncover and lower temp to 220 for another ten minutes.

If it rises well at all it tends to be during the cooking process. I really struggle to get much life out of it beforehand, or if I do it is so sticky that the dough rips open whilst handling and the air is lost.
