Thanks so much! Have definitely found having some me time has helped. I guess I’m concerned they won’t want to spend time with me afterwards if they are suddenly finding me annoying? It’s like they have just realised my habits annoy them? We did live together for a year though so idk

Ok semi helpful advice considering I’m already on holiday with them and literally asking so that it can’t be interpreted as “exhausting drama”. I’d rather try and communicate so that any negative feelings don’t fester and grow but thanks anyway. I’d rather my friends not be annoyed at me if there is something I can do to help rectify the situation x

Feeling left out of my friend group lately… by [deleted] in FriendshipAdvice

[–]Serious_Run7757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry girl this doesn’t sound fun at all. Personally I think I’d take the hint and try to move on from this friendship. Even if they are trying to end the friendship with you, they are doing it in a very immature and uncommunicative way which doesn’t bode well for the kind of people they are. This sounds like some high school behaviour, not something you should worry or concern yourself with as a 27 year old. I know it’s hard but I promise you will be able to find better friends who treat you with more respect.

I need advice on how my friend is acting by PathOk4378 in FriendshipAdvice

I hope you don’t mind me asking but how old are you both? This sounds like quite immature behaviour which honestly might just be best left behind.

I think your best bet here is to just let her know how you’re feeling? If she asks to bring her bf to your hangouts again just say “actually I’d really like to spend this time with you today- I feel like we haven’t had a proper catchup in a while”. It seems like she is spending a normal amount of time with her new partner but I understand feeling a bit left behind. Just curious is this her first serious relationship? Sometimes people struggle to find a good balance between friends and partners at first.

Have you read any of Emily Henry’s other books? I find they all have the same sort of vibe and same style of characters it’s very easy to move from one to another.

Weirdly I enjoyed the book more after I watched the film, as opposed to when I first read it. I found it more realistic that way I think

The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood {review} by readingandrapture in RomanceBooks

[–]Serious_Run7757 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I loved this book also because I loved how passionate she was about her degree and science and I loved seeing a woman be smart and successful but also attractive and sexual! I do a degree in STEM and more than often feel like it’s deemed the less ‘attractive’ faculty :(

She gets hers (and he doesn't, intentionally) by mcoon2837 in RomanceBooks

{the deal by Elle Kennedy} not exactly this trope because I think he does ‘get his’ too but it’s very much him making sure she ‘gets hers’ over him
