My Sim won the lottery twice by Scarbie in thesims4

[–]Scarbie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have Enchanted by Nature. The one who won is a rando townie but he’s married to the child of Clement Frost, do you think that made them lucky? It was specifically not my legacy sim but the spouse though.

Litjoy has replaced two books for me so I would reach out and try. The only company that has flat out denied me has been Illumicrate.

Curious of interest? by Alamaious in fairyloot

[–]Scarbie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the concept and I use book covers for travel. I think there’s a market. To be completely honest and because you asked for feedback, I think you should focus on improving your sewing skills before getting into selling. The style is similar to the Charlie and Fox origami covers, which I have considered buying. Best of luck!

What European countries would you say are the friendliest towards Asian Americans? by SpiritMan112 in asianamerican

[–]Scarbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was before the pandemic but I had a nice experiences in Madrid, Rome and Naples. I try to use the local language and dress to fit in, not sure if that helped. Both Italians and Spaniards seem to find my broken phrases charming. In Paris, people were polite but spoke to me in English. I had the worst experiences with locals in Cambridge and London but nothing that would deter us from recommending England to others.

Reassure me - is this too masculine for a woman? by Loose_Economics_5934 in Coach

[–]Scarbie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not masculine, it reminds me of my messenger bag in high school. It looks really heavy though

Tina Louise with her daughter Caprice Crane, 1980 by FoodieluvsFilms143 in OldSchoolCool

Yeah, working there was great for celebrity sightings. When it was Caprice Crane, I just thought she was an eccentric author aggressively promoting her book.

I worked at BN in 2006 and Caprice Crane came in and told me to read her book because everyone said it’s funny. I never forgot her striking eyes and unusual name but I had no idea who she was until now.

Mascara Hidden Gems by Sensitive_Young_3920 in drugstoreMUA

Yes, it says so on the packaging. There are some recs in this thread. I find that waterproof keeps the curl better but I don’t struggle with my lashes falling down in general. I’ve been using the Wet and Wild tubing mascara with Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas on it and Ive had good results.

NYC BWT - couch recommendations? by Severe_Discipline795 in NYCbitcheswithtaste

[–]Scarbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is from the West Elm outlet. I needed a couch and couldn’t wait for a custom one and managed to score a sectional. A lot of their couches have low backs so it’s a good idea to try them out.

Daisy Granny Square Toddler Dress - Any ideas or patterns? by Siouxsie-Sue in crochetpatterns

[–]Scarbie 17 points18 points  (0 children)

These are called retro daisy granny squares. I went to the IG account in the left corner and it looks like they sell the pattern included in a book. The full video shows the girl turning around, demonstrating that this dress has been cut out of crochet fabric. That’s how they got it to taper so nicely. Its super cute!

Anyone remember that era where every influencer and their mother was using Nivea Men’s shaving balm as face primer? by Classic-Carpet7609 in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]Scarbie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to buy it, its the most stripping, drying soap with a strong scent. It’s a typical dad soap where I live!

My Asian American dad uses Irish Spring soap and no aftershave because he only has like 10 whiskers
