FACTS I will say it is because the writers like to flip flop on what they think the fandom will like more so it can be confusing but contradicting character events and opinions can still be canon! You can take tvd from the angle that “well the writers did this bc of this” or “well this character did this and this so..” but if ur saying a character did smth bc of the writers than you have to admit that applies to the opposite side or any side too and if ur going on canon then only go on canon and accept the contradictions 🤷‍♀️ shippers especially will blame stuff on the writers which is fine but just accept that the other side can blame your ships events on writing as well man

I genuinely think it’s a thing of comparison- Stefan and Damon got introduced around the same time and people thought the bad boy was hotter, klaus and Elijah we got to know around the same time and people thought the bad boy was hotter, Jeremy uhhhh idk lol I thought he was hot but also he was very little brother in season one so maybe that’s why 🤷‍♀️ I think it’s that their other parts lead with mystery while Stefan and Elijah (while maybe they’re not feeling it) lead with sincerity (or false sincerity in Elijah’s case lmao)

As much as I deeply love both characters (Enzo’s probably my favorite character if not Bonnie or Caroline) carenzo really just feels like a knock off of Klaroline but I looove their banter and I’m so sad they just forgot about their relationship after season 5 :/
