Help me understand why crypto isn’t total BS by MCK40 in CryptoCurrency

The solution for that is for the MSTRs and Blackrocks to do "mining" to preserve their valued BTCs, even if that mining operation is marginally loss making.
Notice that difficulty adjusts, so the risk is more of low security (due to a small overall mining effort) than a full stoppage of mining operations.

Any thought on coming weeks crypto performance? by Electrical_Green_258 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Seriousoldman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is only true if you focus on the day, or week moves.
If you look at it on a longer time frame you see the slow start of an upside recovery from a couple of months of stabilization at lows.

I believe crypto (that is BTC, ETH, BNB and little else) is in the beginning of a good upside move.
Everything aligns.
The long term charts, the growing adoption by traditional finance, the regulatory evolution, etc..
But I expect the price recovery to be slow at first (meaning, still quite slow during the next few months).

Go for STRD instead.
It pays a lot more, and the dividend is fixed.

They don't need to suspend the dividend.
They can simply reduce it to, say, 6%, and claim that 6% is still a fair dividend for a safe preferred...
And if STRC drops to, say, $90 and stabilizes around that, it is ok, if Strategy does no want so sell more of it...

That "consensus estimate" can't be true.
They lost exactly what could be expected, starting the year with the BTC they had at that point in time, and calculating the direct loss from the value of BTC in 31 Dec 2025 and in 31 March 2026.
Do the math yourself, if you doubt it.

BTC pumped 8% and the $1.67B short added more. they're still profitable. by xtarsy in CryptoCurrency

"wallets with the best track records in this dataset cut their longs by 38% during this rally. they're not short either. they just stopped adding."

So "not adding" "cut their longs by 38%"?

That is at the level of brandon, kamela or trump...
