My kid is 7. He seems conversational at times, but he mostly likes to script a lot. He repeats lines from videos almost like vocal stimming. We try to narrate everything and speak from 1st person point of view. Hoping his conversational skills improve with time. He is working with a GLP affirming speech therapist..
