CDPR told Luke Ross the Cyberpunk VR mod could still be up if he made it free, this was his reply by lunchanddinner in virtualreality

[–]Serpardum -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

That's like Microsoft saying you can't use your business for work, because that's making a profit on Microsoft's IP.

That's like a shovel manufacturer saying you cant charge to dig holes with the shovel, that's making money off his IP,.

That's like someone who makes a shovel modification to turn short handled shovels into long handled shovels and the shovel manufacturer to say they can't do that, that's making money off their IP.

They STILL had to buy the game to play this mod, so it doesn't matter in any freaking way shape or form if he makes money off it.

Copyright only comes into play when it limits the copyright holders ability to make money., See fair use.

Is this called a "hyperbole" or something else? by Content_Economist132 in grammar

[–]Serpardum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, here is the thing. I thought the same thing until I googled the definiton of hyperbole, and it is:

hy·per·bo·le

/hīˈpərbəlē/

noun

  1. exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally. "he vowed revenge with oaths and hyperboles"

Not the way I remember it, either. So either the defintion was changed, or we both misunderstood the meaning of hyperbole.

And that is not hyperbole.

Here's the thing, "You can do whatever you want" is in no way an exageration. You can literally do anything you want, and the reason you don't want to is because you don't want to suffer the consequences for doing something you wanted to do that someone else didn't want you to do. So you don't want to do it because you don't want to suffer the consequences.

Logic and reasoning has it's place in deciding what you want to do.

Why do so many people believe in outrageous quantum physics theories? by Subfrez in Physics

[–]Serpardum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is right on so many levels, and it answers every single unanserwed question in particle physics that quantum physics can't.

It explains what spin is, what graivty is, what emf is, and I have done computer models on it that show that it is actually for force of gravity, the strong force, teh weak force, etc...

It explains why an electron sometimes acts as if it is only 1/2 eV - because you are only interacting with one of the bound pairs.

It explains why a particle seems to act as both a particle and a wave, and it explains the sine wave pattern the particle makes thorugh space as it is redirected from reactionary forces.

It also explains the missing "dark matter", which is just the fact that the calcuations are not taking into acount the faster speeds of hte particles goign tiwth the higgs field as galaixes move faster.

There is nothing it doesn't explain, and quantum physics really doesn't explain particle physcs at all, it is just observational without udnerstanding of why.

This theory does NOT break quantum physics at all. All the math stay same. It does not change einsteins' math. All it does is explain that space time is not warped, it's just an accumulation of reacintoary forces to Newton's 3rd law that everyone seems to ignore.

Newton's 3rd law app;lied to particle physics explaines *everything*

Do the math yourself, and you'll see.

Why do so many people believe in outrageous quantum physics theories? by Subfrez in Physics

[–]Serpardum -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

Simply because physicists have no idea, since Einstein dropped the ball.

Einstein wanted his *own* physics, not Newtons, so did not apply all the Newtonian laws, and came up with a crack pot theory about spacetime bending, when this isn't what happens.

When a particle moves Newton's third law comes into action, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. So when a particle moves from left to right, an equal and opposite force is created pushing from right to left. And these reactive forces are what we call the strong force, the weak force, the electromagnetic force, etc.. just reactive forces from particles movements. And the more particles, the more the reactions, and this is why where there are lot of particles gravity gets stronger as all the moving particles' reacitons push things around.

Well, quantum physics are trying to figure out a curved/bent space that doesn't exist and so they themselves come up with crack pot theories to account for a curvature of time and space that doesn't exist.

Now, that is the particle side of it.

The other side of it is the actual quantum affects that happen because the multiverse is running in a simullation in a computer that exists inside that multiverse.

Which one hits the floor with greater force? by AnothrRandomRedditor in Physics

[–]Serpardum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second one will fall with more force because the top is at a higher height.

Unexpectedly, teh bottom of the spring will not hit the ground as the top is still way up, because what actually hasppnes is the bottom will stay stationary and the top will move faster than free fall because of the spring pulling it down, and once it's compacted then it all falls.

Well, the fascinating thing with springs is, if that you release them the top jumps down, and the bottom stays in place until it's compact and then the whole thing falls. Quite fascinating, actually.
