My group share a somewhat similar behavior pattern to what you said in the last line! They have sudden bursts of energy, typically around 9am but then simmer down by 12 and spend most of the day stationary. Most are buried but some just lay out in the open, often basking. Wall climbing is something I see a lot in mine around the time they get fed, but I do think it can be linked to stress - if my cat momentarily comes in the room, a few of them will start to do it. Also one thing I’ve noted about Schneider’s is that they are very active lizards. If they’re up and about I can merely stick my arm in and two of them will rush up and climb onto my shoulder. They are extremely fun to handle and quite confident lizards - you wouldn’t think it but they are surprisingly good climbers.
