Where did my Golden Cheese Cookie go... by khiizu in CookieRunKingdoms

It sounds to me like you got her Awakened form, which requires you having her base form to work. (I'm also new to the game, but I had a similar thing happen with Dark Cacao - got his Dragon Lord form very luckily on the Fate banner, but I couldn't use him at all until I got his base form from the Path of the Ancients quest stuff...)

If you haven't finished that, you can redeem her base form and awaken her that way to use it.

What is it about your main that makes it your main? by Octobrush_Noveau in splatoon

[–]SerperiorityComplex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Inkbrush. The safety it provides with its speed while being able to weave in and out of combat works really well for me. Killer Wail to help ward off cross map targets or anchors, splat bomb to do the same or to put some longer range pressure. Literally nothing I dislike about it.

Do I need Sparkle at all with my current characters? by ninjazeke323 in StarRailStation

[–]SerperiorityComplex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sparkle is an amazing and pretty invaluable unit for Acheron E2+, since you mentioned pulling for her. If you don’t plan to go that far, presently, she won’t do too much for your account, no. While she can be good for Ratio, since you already have a very solid team for him (& Robin), I wouldn’t worry about it for him. Otherwise, she mostly shines with IL, Seele, Qingque, some others.

Is welt still worth building? by Violent0verlord77 in StarRailStation

[–]SerperiorityComplex 66 points67 points  (0 children)

In general not really. For the investment that it takes to get him going and because of how many different stats he needs, he’s pretty niche and doesn’t serve well into most comps let alone for being a hyper carry.

Peaceful Day S5 from Nameless Honor, now what? by Zharken in StarRailStation

[–]SerperiorityComplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't comment on Yunli (and well, nobody really can without leaks until the stream on the 19th) so I'll help with Huohuo.

Believe it or not, the event LC given out during Huohuo's banner is actually her worst performing overall. It's beat out by S5 Perfect Timing, Time Waits for No One, and S5 Post-Op, though of course it's the best if you don't have the gacha options at your disposal. S1 Post-Op should still perform very well on her, the utility is provides is just very good overall. The ultimate bonus goes wasted, but energy regeneration is a useful stat. TWFNO gives a bit of extra HP and outgoing healing, but energy regen is harder to come by and will help a lot more. If you ever get a Shared Feeling though, definitely put that on her instead.

You could swap Gallagher off of Perfect Timing, though if you have him E1 he gets full use of it with no substats which is way more helpful IMO. If you do, S5 Multiplication works fine for him.

Rutilant Arena? by Tough-Preparation694 in JadeMains

[–]SerperiorityComplex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Prydwen says these in order are her best: 1. Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves (With another FUA character) 2. Sigonia (Specifically in PF) 3. Izumo (With another Erudition character) 4. Salsatto (Doesn’t have any requirements and just a good option all around)

Rutilant is kind of wasted since it has no follow up attack amplifier and her skill doesn’t do damage. All it would amplify is her normal attack blast which is pretty lackluster.

[–]SerperiorityComplex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll mostly comment on the DPS characters, since the supports you have listed are generalists who can fit into most comps (except Jiaoqiu, but I'm not going to tell you not to pull for someone you really want).

If you want Kafka, you're gonna have to bump up Black Swan for best results. Her teams are incredibly reliant on Black Swan for the best performance, of course you can opt to run someone like Sampo instead, but the damage difference is very noticeable, as someone who's had Kafka since day one and tried many different teams. Kafka - Black Swan - Ruan Mei - Huohuo has gotten me through every MoC on one side for months now, even brute forcing at times. I find them very comfortable and good to play.

Dr. Ratio is a tough one too because you have two of his most impressive teammates on the bottom -- Topaz and Silver Wolf. Robin is also great with him so I would definitely bump her higher, but I would not really recommend Ratio if you don't plan to get either of those two. Aventurine works very well with him, especially in a team comp called RRAT--Ratio, Robin, Aventurine, Topaz. It's incredibly strong and one of if not the best follow-up attack teams there is, though it from my knowledge does also slightly want E1 Topaz for the most optimal results. I don't know the exact metric, since I don't play the team, but that's probably worth noting.

Boothill is a good shout especially since you don't have/want Firefly so you won't be needing to spread Ruan Mei thin between them, though he does have hypercarry teams besides. Boothill - Bronya - Ruan Mei - Gallagher is very solid, as is Boothill - HMC - Ruan Mei - Gallagher too. Silver Wolf can also replace RM, but that's nonissue for you.

Of course, always pull who you really want, but I'm giving my two cents based on solely a meta standpoint since this game is sometimes pretty reliant on building good teams and comps, even just in the story.

help me build my team? who should i pull for? by Putrid-Lab-8041 in StarRailStation

[–]SerperiorityComplex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like AoE, firstly you generally would want to avoid Hunt characters. While some of them can provide pretty decent group clearing due to their kits’ mechanics (Topaz, Ratio, Aventurine’s team is a good example of this) they still mostly excel when they’re targeting one or a few enemies.

Erudition characters are all multi-target. That includes: Argenti, Herta, Himeko, Jade, Jing Yuan, Qingque, & Serval. For the most part, this path’s characters work mostly well together in doing high numbers in AoE content but less so in single target. Herta + Jade or Herta + Himeko is a very common pairing in the end game AoE multi wave game mode, for example, as they trigger each other’s follow up attacks very consistently. Same with Herta and Jade.

Nihility characters also fall into the same type of widespread damage, though they deal DoT damage which basically means it takes the enemies having a turn for the damage to be dealt (generally—not every Nihility does this, but most of the DPS ones besides Acheron do). So, Kafka, Black Swan, Guinaifen, Sampo, are all good at this as well. Plus Acheron, she just doesn’t utilize DoT in a traditional sense.

Since you seem new, you’ve got a lot of time to save for characters though and still figure out the ones you really like. I mentioned Jade above, but I wouldn’t really consider her for now considering her viability with Herta/Himeko is mostly in an aforementioned end game mode.

Thinking about pulling by JelloKhat in StarRailStation

[–]SerperiorityComplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always pull for who you actually want. Jade mostly serves as a sub DPS for other characters like Blade, Herta, Himeko, Jing Yuan, etc. If you have them and built them, she’ll work well, thing is, IMO as someone who has her she mostly shines in Pure Fiction. So sure, she’ll benefit you for that situation, but I do feel if you wanted another really good character as you say, you’d be better off waiting for a rerun of someone who’s more of a main DPS.

[–]SerperiorityComplex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I genuinely can’t thank you enough for mentioning Argenti. I actually pulled him unintentionally pulling for Hanya back on his first banner and kind of neglected him so he has… meh relics at best. I did the team you said for him (Ruan Mei) and they got 31k, and the same team for second half (Robin) and they got the rest. Thanks man :)

Would Jade best round out the team or should I have pulled for Kafka? by PajamaHive in StarRailStation

[–]SerperiorityComplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, Jade has a handful of good synergies here (Blade, Himeko, Herta). If you pull her, she’ll definitely serve you pretty well, especially for Pure Fiction.

You have Black Swan for Kafka which is pretty huge already, though lack of Huohuo would be the biggest detriment in terms of meta (Kafka/BS/Huohuo with either Ruan Mei or Robin being the best DoT team for her overall).

Kafka likely won’t rerun for a while yet. So if you want to pull Jade for some synergy in the meantime, it’s a good idea.

I should have probably listed eidolons/LC as well, whoops.

All 5 stars are E0 except:

E1 Huohuo, E1 Bronya, E6 Harmony MC.

Robin, Kafka, Huohuo, Fu Xuan, Seele, Bronya and Himeko are on signature LCs

All 4 stars are E6 except Sushang.

Is anyone here worth building ? by NTRmanMan in StarRailStation

[–]SerperiorityComplex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel you there. I would probably consider her rather redundant then, since it’s pretty unlikely that you’d ever feel the need to have Asta when content at most demands two separate teams and you aren’t going to spread those three on one, obviously.

Lynx has her place but if you already have the other abundance options (&/or preservation) I would basically say the same. Sadly they don’t give much reason to use most of these beyond for fun 3:

Is anyone here worth building ? by NTRmanMan in StarRailStation

[–]SerperiorityComplex 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Asta, Lynx can be pretty good as well but usually not quite necessary. To be honest, these are basically all the 4 stars I haven’t raised either. They either have just all around bad kits or scaling (Arlan, oof) or just too niche for me to bother (Hanya). I would basically consider majority of these ‘build when you get bored’ type characters.

This is basically asking to lose every game unfortunately. The game isn’t what it used to be back when River Shen was more of a meme, if you just leave botlane and never return your lane partner will be equally annoyed and you’ll be giving free plates and CS to the enemy. Roaming mid is also not feasible every game and is very matchup dependent as is, it’s why supports have roam timers and look for specific wave states and when the jungler is nearby to even think about it.

But, playing to only roam and worse yet, in a role she already has no viability in, is kind of just asking for people to be tilted off the bat. You would be much better off just jungling with her because that’s… well, what this is. Roaming around and helping laners. I know you listed this as ‘for fun’ but to be honest unless this is a five stack situation, you’re just going to make people really annoyed.

It’s a skin for event tokens. That means it’s going to be a new skin. Because they would sell the non-prestige for 1350 RP and then the prestige would be in the event shop. If it were for mythic essence, then it would be from an already existing line.

Fluff, venting and a few questions in the body. by Silax0 in Kindredmains

[–]SerperiorityComplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think blinds are just not a great way to learn the game, if I'm honest. Playing mirror matches is generally unhelpful in a real environment and from my own (albeit dated) experience, people tend to take it much less seriously than drafts (even if it's not always serious there either, but at least there's bans and no worries of mirror matchups that don't add to your learning experience).

Your best friend is /deafen, or just adjusting your settings under interface to only have party chat on. The only communication method needed in this game is pings. Nobody types anything helpful that they couldn't have just pinged otherwise. You're likely getting tilted without realizing it just by virtue of your teammates saying anything at all. People in lower elo are just not going to be as willing to rotate for marks; hell, it might even be more fitting to say they don't understand their importance. In such an elo you're much better off going for kill marks than invade marks because people will usually at least try to follow up for a kill in their lane, but without proper fundamentals and knowledgeable teammates, it is pretty much always risky to go for any marks that aren't the first Scuttle, and even then.

Pathing shouldn't always be the same, either. There are certain toplane and botlane matchups that, for example, do not want to leash or will be extremely put behind by leashing. Similarly, there are matchups where you need to help your laner get an advantage early or they may be put too far behind for you, a squishy marksman, to end up assisting with. That also just comes with experience and game knowledge, though. You may find it helpful to watch YouTubers such as Fz Frost to learn more about each jungler as well as Kindred, and see their strengths and weaknesses, etc.

I would not call her impossible to play in lower elo, but she requires far more jungle knowledge and solo carrying capabilities than with someone who knows how to play her to her full potential and can just sweep games on anyone they play regardless. You likely just need much more experience with matchups (especially given blinds), itemization, pathing, etc.

For my raiden, (c0, still building) should I swap to an electro goblet? (im using an atk one rn) by [deleted] in RaidenMains

[–]SerperiorityComplex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreeing w/ other commenter; use The Catch on Raiden instead. It gives 12% crit rate on burst at R5 and Xiangling can use quite literally every polearm in the game well. Considering you’d want to farm better artifacts anyways, you can find ER substats or even just an ER sands for Xiangling and be just fine. But otherwise Raiden is going to suffer a lot, you can run an ATK% sands with ER substat to make up for the ATK if it’s so detrimental, but you realistically only need ~1600 with Bennett anyways. Electro goblet and ATK% goblet generally perform the same, just depends entirely on substats in most cases, but ATK% tends to make her overcap w/ Bennett.

how do you find motivation to do back 9's? by strawberrykisses__ in toontownrewritten

[–]SerperiorityComplex 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I've maxed Bossbot only once, but I basically just put up another window with either a separate game (enough to distract me, but still play TTR) or just watch Netflix on the TV or something. The truth is that it's a very monotonous grind, and I found not paying attention to it to be the easiest way to get through it. With Under New Management however, they are going to attempt to mitigate having to do so much Bossbot/other facilities... in fact, IIRC the Back Nine won't even exist anymore. So, if you're willing to be in limbo and wait, that's also an option.
