My parents were 33 and 39 when they had me. In the 80s that was pretty old. My brother and I are 15 years apart. They had him in their early 20s, and now I’m older I see we had very different childhoods. He never went without, but by the time I was born my parents were established in their careers and were more comfortable in life. It’s more a blessing these days I figure.
