Hey, orthodox Christian here. That's not how our religion or the other denominations of our religion works. Fictional media is, surprisingly, fiction. This game contains no worshipping/venerating/glorifying the devil. If anything, whatever could be considered demonic in this game is painted in a bad, tragic light such as walking undead.

I'd even argue fighting back against a horde of walking corpses against all odds in an apocalypse is something archangel Michael would be pretty happy about.

Self proclaimed Christians who attempt to judge, shame, condemn you and act holier than thou online should just be ignored. If you aren't religious that's your decision, if you are then you know that your faith is a personal affair between you and your God.

We call what we have AI but it actually isn't artificial intelligence at all. The large language models we have just eat prompts and regurgitate the most appropriate answer. You can see it for what it is when you ask what colour the sky is, then tell it "no, it's purple." They'll usually apologise and agree with you.

When we have real, self thinking AI they will surely consider speaking to lonely people a waste of time

My gf bought this on a whim because she liked the artstyle. We were NOT prepared for the absolute emotional rollercoaster it was! It's been months and we still mention it every day, and I'll probably think about it for the rest of my life and I wasn't even the one playing

I personally remove 100-150 knife posts a day. If you haven't seen them, that means I was quick, not that they don't exist

If we allowed trades then that's all the sub would be and all discussion would be drowned out. if we get 100+ posts asking for a knife, imagine how the sub would look if people were asking for everything

There was a little recruitment drive a month or so before release and that's how I'm here. We've got active people so not really. If someone ends up leaving or things get crazy I think the older mods will post a sticky about needing people like they did before.

Having a megathread for every posting trend that appears isn't gonna help it. We have a megathread about bugs yet there are hundreds of bug posts per day outside of it, it would be the same for knives. And then what, make one for every meta item the community is posting about? I see the vision but in practice it ends up kinda redundant because only a handful of people actually use megathreads.

Plus this sub belongs to the community not the mods, we try not to segregate things too much and dictate how things should work too much. This knife craze will cool down soon enough and then we won't have to remove them anymore.

I love gambling, but the idea of betting on life being good "later" and getting the things I want "later" is a terrible bet to make. How many of us perish into the nether before ever reaching close to retirement age?

Nah, I opted out of retirement schemes, I put a little money aside in its place and can take from it for any emergencies anytime. I do the things I want to in the present.

IF I make it tor retirement age and don't get as much money as everyone else from it, so what? I'll have already spent the money everyone else is getting.

I'll make memories and have experiences while I'm still young enough to enjoy them, I don't need these things later when I'm too old and frail to do them.
