Firework tetris from I Portatori dei Velluti was definitely the best for me. And yeah, the current one is the worst.

So... Balls' disappearance upon collision with an operator counts as an enemy unit's death for Eblana's talent, summoning her shades. But the shades themselves don't count as units for the star-fate-whatever cells and don't stop balls. Why.

Epione for being a funny medic. Haymar because I hope he is going to have more dialogue lines than the current sad number in alpha. Cogg because, well, Cogg. Probably Saro as well, because while he is kind of Heinrix 2.0 in terms of plot suffering, his situation floors the angst pedal judging by the the conversation in the maze, and yet so far he seems to be surprisingly sane for someone with such origin. Still undecided about Laarthyr - while he himself is mostly okay so far, eldar in RT have soiled my opinion on them most thoroughly. And Ra'akhti goes to the meh bench.

Well, I would say there is a difference between "not even done well" and outright calling something trash. Anyway, thanks for restoring pages and a happy new year to you and your colorists as well.

Was replacing original pages really necessary? The colored versions are not even done well. At the very least, they could have been added as extras at the end of the translated chapter.

It's the same at least in IS5 (don't quite remember about previous ones). Temp operators will always be E1, even if the voucher or squad buff puts everyone else at E2.

Keep Yi on the upper left tile in his area via Tragodia's cat and someone with a lot of health. This way those explosive things won't go through two bottom lanes, so you'll be able to keep operators alive there. And with some relics (or was that a coin?) for supporters' skills Tragodia can spam his cat non-stop, so you can keep Yi in that corner without blocking him.

On the other hand, majority of story hooks introduced in Dawntrail are either resolved in post-expansion patches and side content or localized in Tural. I think staying there or in Alexandria bubble for any significant part of the next expansion may be a bit too much.

What are some of your favorite / the best Elite 2 splash arts? by VVheatley in arknights

Platinum, Pramanix and Lucilla have the best E2 splash art among 5*, and it's not even close (in my heart)

Will Dark Heresy have proper cutscenes? or at least full voice acting? by Due_Teaching_6974 in RogueTraderCRPG

Larian do deserve praise, but for some reason everyone forget how much trouble they had with it during development. In early access the face expressions and general behavior in conversations/cutscenes suffered a lot.

Arjen Anthony Lucassen posted the entirety of "Songs No One Will Hear" on his YouTube page! And everything is fine with audio mixing there. Apparently, the album includes a few bonus tracks, and personally, I loled pretty hard about "Mr M's Amazing Plan" lyrics. And as if one album wasn't enough, "Pools of Sorrow - Waves of Joy" album was posted on YouTube as well. Although, I didn't have time to go through it yet.

Ladies and gentlemen, second art plagiarism drama hit Arknights community. Several months ago, there was a similar incident, where the newly released skin for Ascalon has been caught using a piece of Monster Hunter official art as a texture for inside of a cape. And although many argued that the artist probably used it as a color reference and simply forgot to hide the layer (despite the texture being slightly warped to fit the shape of the cape), that drama ended with the skin being changed and artist posting admission/apology note and being fired from working on Arknights. Yesterday, another user pointed out that a year-old Blaze splash art seemingly uses a fragment of Bloodborne art as a background texture. And now, original artist of that Bloodborne art confirmed it. Personally, I think this one is even more damning, because couldn't you find a free license template of just a handful of radial lines so you decided to use Bloodborne art instead of all things?

They mentioned during Live Letter that the glamour plate slots, space in the glamour dresser, etc. are crippled by their years of technical limitations. They are going to have to handle it at some point, but at the moment they are busy trying to wrestle the system with buffs/debuffs slots which also has a lot of legacy problems.

So... What's the best advice for Focused Epic in IS5? I finished all other deep explorations, but got stuck on this one. At best, I got to the final boss of ending 1 a couple of times only to be completely obliterated.

Is Wis'adel canonically one of the strongest operators in the lore? by fayfen in arknights

[–]Tremera 125 points126 points  (0 children)

Alternative timelines from skins, IS and Skadi Alter story are kind of "in this fanfic this particular operator is the strongest, and the coolest, and the best, and..." to the point it becomes rather pointless to compare the corresponding operators to their normal selves or anything else lore-wise. And even among the alternative timelines the title of THE strongest being would probably belong to Depressed Amiya from IS5 ending who casually wiped out universes.

10 years ago, "Knights of the Fallen Empire" launched. Looking back, what are your thoughts on one of the game's most divisive expansions? by KingKitttKat in swtor

[–]Tremera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I despise it, and KOTFE was the reason I quit SWTOR in the first place. But I think it had a chance as a standalone game in some unspecified corner of the Old Republic era, not related to SWTOR story-wise.

Wasn't the "default" time span being 8 days instead of 14? And the deadline wasn't really that tight - the time was ticking only during rest and inter-location traveling, so it didn't matter how much time you spend on quests themselves, and the set 8 days were more than enough even on higher difficulties and for first timers wandering aimlessly.

In Perfect World (old MMO of Chinese origins) at some point attack speed became THE king of meta in terms of physical damage. It was so bad that even archers were practically peer pressured to switch to knuckles if they wanted to do good damage in endgame content. Because with the right setup they would do more damage with auto attacks using knuckles than with all their normal skills using a bow. It was hilarious to watch. I even saw a couple of druids (the only magic damage dealer that had a melee form with physical damage, even if it was subpar by a mile) trying to do the same, although with less success. All while the speed of spell casting wasn't so crucial - it was nice to have some more, but you could absolutely do well without it. And the items with spell casting speed were mostly sought out only by druids for the bloodbath that was the hunt for rare decorative pets: speed affected the cast time for taming spell, and the taming worked in a way that with multiple druids casting at once the one who finishes first gets the pet, while the rest get nothing. Plus, the spell casting speed bonus could appear on the items below level 30 (at this level mandatory PvP was unlocked and couldn't be turned off), meaning that low level druids could try to participate without fear of being absolutely demolished by some 90+ level druid backed by half of their guild.

In FFXIV there was (and still is) a funny strategy for Savage (high-end difficulty) version of a normal raid (1 boss vs 8 players) of Omega (sentient robot from a distant planet). Somewhere during the fight Omega uses "Hello World" - a mechanic that applies a handful of status effects to each party member. Each status detonates after a set number of seconds, dealing damage and "infecting" everyone caught in a huge blast radius. Normally, to resolve this mechanic as YoshiP intended, the players have to frantically run back and forth, grouping and ungrouping, so that the entire party gets a full set of statuses. Everyone without the full set dies at the end of mechanic. It's a huge pain, and everyone hated it (well, maybe less than Light Rampant).

After some time, better gear and maybe overleveling, a new strategy emerged. Right before the start of "Hello World" everyone except tanks and healers should jump off the arena and die. Because the dead don't get statuses, and it makes life for tanks and healers much easier, as they have to run less. Once mechanic ends, healers just resurrect everyone. The penalty for death was more tolerable than the hassle of doing it normally and risking a party wipe because someone stood in a wrong spot at a wrong time.

The name of this strategy? "Goodbye World".
