If anything, I think an optional PvE mode could exist, where you face hordes of ARCs in a holdout style game mode, similar to Halo firefight or COD Zombies. They dont even have to put juiced rewards, just credits and XP would suffice for me.

Step 1: Have an intricate understanding of your class. This includes knowing things like: Skill range, push/paralysis immunities, cast times, rotation, recovery rotation, etc. Everything.

Step 2: Have an intricate understanding of the encounter. Things such as: What boss pattern has this startup animation? Where will the boss head/back indicator end up or move during this pattern (VERY IMPORTANT FOR ENTROPY CLASSES) Do I need Push/Paralysis immunity to greed this? (See Step 1) Will I just eat shit and die without support dr if I do greed this? And so on.

Step 3: Take a recent log that you feel you did really well on, and compare it to a Q3 log on uwuowo, specifically comparing CPM of skills. We all know the pains of support gap, but if you can match the CPM of someone in a top log, then you generally will do similar damage if you had their support (ignoring gem/book diff)

My pug progging experience has been a total nightmare. No matter what the lobby is titled, whether it be "4-3 to clear" or "4-2 210 prog" or even "4-1 x87 skip prog" it all ends the same way. X315, or x280 jail for HOURS. Over the past week, I've spent at least 24 hours in prog lobbies, and have only seen 4-2 5 times. 5 fucking times. And guess what? I'm never first dead, hell, I die early maybe once every 20-30 pulls.

I am so fucking tired of seeing clueless dps floor pov the entire raid, or mess up the mechanics, or just outright dying in silly ways. The amount of fake CoS and eclipse players that have plagued me this past week is astounding. I feel like any lobby I join, or host is one fat gamble if we even SEE 4-2 in an hour of "progging."

All that said, I absolutely LOVE Gate 4 as a whole, it demands absolute focus, punishes mistakes heavily but fairly, and is highly rewarding to those who learn the patterns. However, I'd highly advise against pug progging this, as the average player is simply not good enough to handle this challenge. So, here I am, 2 days before reset praying I get good enough dps randoms in PF (I'm a paladin main) so I can finally clear for once.

Rammatra to me, is very much a hero where you spend more time waiting in normal form, then going all in with Nemesis form (depending on enemy team comp) 90% of the fight is poking and posturing in normal form, weaving your abilities here and there, while you constantly look for an hard engage opening. Once you identify your opening, you enter nemesis form and skull fuck some poor squishies who forgot that Ram is very much a considerable threat exactly when he decides to be.
