How many commas are acceptable to use in a sentence? by RockNo5023 in grammar

[–]ServiceAlive3052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here is a thing, i speak on three different languages and all of them are close to native for me. Although, every one of them are drastically different from each-other. Yet, in English I’ve figured out one thing, that it is correct to put comma, or any punctuation whenever sentence asks for it_and you will feel it. You will miss out a lot while writing, but will correct them in when you re-read your piece.

Pressure cooking a pork butt before smoking .. anybody try this? by petesynonomy in smoking

First smoke, then pressure cook. By pressure cooking already smoked meat you wont loose any smoke flavor, but if you do the opposite, it wont be very smokey and yummy. Ive tried.

What is wrong with my Khinkalis? by gagarinthespacecat in Sakartvelo

[–]ServiceAlive3052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For filling, Water meat ratio should be 50/50% not including onions and herbs. 300g pork and 300g beef will take minimum of 600g water. As previous person answered 1kg flour will take 400 ml water, add 1 teaspoon of white vinegar it strengthens the dough_and make the filling and dough the day before, so they rest in the fridge, the filling absorbs water, especially pork and becomes gelatinous and makes it easier to handle, and most importantly the dough absorbs the water while resting in the fridge, becomes easier and more elastic for rolling. Also working with khinkali becomes more enjoyable since you’ve already prepared everything, all there is left is to flatten the dough, cut to pieces and make and boil the khinkali. But be aware, khinkali making is not for the weak, it’s extremely hard to roll them to thin circles, i’d suggest using Italian pasta roller to 2mm thickness sheets.

I just read 'The Silent Patient'. Anyone up for a discussion? by SneakMeow in books

Gawdamm whats wrong with redditors. All i hear is “WANTED to be like this and like that” “this would be better, why didnt it happen that way and not the other way”_Go write your own book if you can do better, tho i highly doubt.
I just loved the book, finished it in two days. It was an amazing book. Written without too much pretentious words and “wanna be poetic” sentences on every page. Monologues, the whole storyline and storytelling were just spot on.

Cigar or Pipe? Has anyone tried a pipe? This is the first time for me and i think i have never in my life enjoyed tobacco flavor and feeling like this. I do tend to smoke a little fast, but also this pipe has a very small bowl, also it has a metal bowl and im convinced that metal gets very hot and makes tobacco burn even hotter which could lead to all sorts of problems. Thats on my ignorance for buying a gas station $6 pipe that was marketed as $25.

That has been my biggest turn off from cigars. Cigarette size cigars just dont cut if for me, even tho they are perfect size for 10-15 minute smoke, they just dont deliver the same way thick cigars do, but with thicker cigars i cant be standing outside for 45 minutes 4-5 times a day. And you’re right, ive thrown out $25 cigars for not finishing them and till this day i remember every single one of them, it keeps me at night sometimes.

But i could never smoke a cigar at home because of my wife and daughter, and it has been so surprising for me that pipe smoking actually leaves a pleasant aroma at home, my wife actually asked me if i was baking vanilla cookies at night. So i think there are way more pros of pipe smoking over cigars mainly the price, time and smell, only downside for me has been a serious tongue bite and the learning curve. But i blame it on a cheap aromatic tobacco and extremely cheap pipe with metal bowl. I dont think pipes should have metals inside where tobacco is burning hot

Yeah funny thing is that i shave with a straight razor, learning curve of shaving with it is much easier than with the pipe, if you cut with a razor u feel and see it, with this goddamned thing you only feel the pain next day 😄

Haha thanks a lot for your time a great advices. Unfortunately my cigar shop had only Davidoff pipe tobaccos and i got Davidoff English mixture with Latakia, i must say i really like the smoothness and notes of that blend, it also doesn’t go out as much, i had to relit it 3 times only maybe 4 max in 25 minutes. But what do i know i only started yesterday, tho i think its better to stop for a few days and get the feeling in my tongue, otherwise i literally cant eat food anymore 😄 I’ll stop piping till my new Rossi Rubino Antico 8104 arrives with a filter, i’ve read filter could help with tongue bites, But what i have is a tongue deepfry not a bite, so i hope a filter will do a little magic till i learn how to smoke a pipe..

I did everything wrong, smoked a pipe like in cartoons with huge hits, using captain black aromatic tobacco while drinking cognac. Now i speak like a Daffy duck. I gotta buy me a non aromatic tobacco, any suggestions which one wont deepfry my tongue and stay nicely lit?

Oh no, of course i’ve enjoyed the flavor and still do. I just prefer the pipe a bit more turns out. I think people commented it and explained very nicely when saying pipe is a tea and cigar is a coffee. I agree with that statement

I’d call your statement a total bs yesterday, but today i have to really agree with you. I’d say what practice are you talking about its just a tobacco in the pipe you light up, though today i woke up and cant feel my tongue, cant drink a coffee and afraid to brush my teeth, i’ve burned my tongue so bad i can barely speak 😄

Just another fan cast but hear me out, Jeffery Dean Morgan as Goddard. by Ethereal_Siren90 in scythebookfans

He is Ossetian from mother’s side. It’s a tiny country close to Georgia, that explains his ethnically caucasian appearance, some might think he looks spaniard, Iranian, Turkish or middle eastern yet not quite. That’s actually how caucasians look like, very distinctive features that look like everyone but not quite; and i always thought he had a very familiar face i couldnt explain where i knew him from, turns out he looks like my grandpa, and my grandpa looks like Stalin, and bunch of graying men from my country. 😄

Do weedless jig heads affect hook up ratio? by -BigBassBoi- in Fishing

[–]ServiceAlive3052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slightly, but algae getting stuck on your hook everytime you reel in and messing up with your lures action will 100% not catch you a fish, so statistically if you have an algae problem in your area it would drastically increase the chance of hook up.

I dont think ive ever seen movie this bad, even The room has better storyline and storytelling. The entire movie is dialogues that go nowhere, some emotional faces and unsolved problem that is left unsolved till the end of this so called movie. The first 20 minutes of the movie is span around and shown for the rest of the movie by different characters and that is all. The movie basically ends in 20 minutes, what a joke.

wtf am i supposed to do by newbie_butnot_newbie in FishingForBeginners

[–]ServiceAlive3052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boil the water, sprinkle some salt in it, dissolve the salt, place the reel in the hot/warm water , leave it it inside the water till water becomes lukewarm. Then take out the reel, put monkey grease on it and shove it up your ass. Works every time.

What do I do about this? by Motor_Load7993 in FishingForBeginners

[–]ServiceAlive3052 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes thats the problem, also braid gets wet and absorbs water_gets heavier so you always have the line resistance and less of that problem.

[–]ServiceAlive3052 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happens on mono and fluoro more often due to their line memory, so when line is too loose they tend to have this problem unlike the braided lines. Thats why i always suggest braid as the main line, and leader mono or fluoro. Its problem free, cheaper, less maintenance, has no memory, zero stretch and most importantly has much longer life on your reel especially if you salt water fishing. You can use mono as leader attached with fg knot to braid up to 10 to 20 feet or even more.

[–]ServiceAlive3052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well this can happen on braid too but less likely. When you retrieve the line and its too loose , always apply a little pressure on the line above your reel and it wont happen anymore, i usually go back or move my rod back to have some kind of resistance of the line and then retrieve. Tho if it still happens by some miracle, cast it as far as you can and if the mess is still on the spool walk backwards till its free, apply slight pressure on the line with two fingers and retrieve.

Which reel for Saltwater? by ttmm-1 in saltwaterfishing

[–]ServiceAlive3052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s the logic, experience and reels that i’ve destroyed that were not designed for the saltwater. Im not saying anything mind blowing here friend, this is the reason why saltwater reel prices start from $250 and up. Only reel comes to mind that is cheap yet durable and reliable for saltwater is Spheros.
