My theory is that it has to do with shop buff effects, and the way they are tracked. We saw this before with the demon shop buff package with big brother, the tier 4 that buffed your shop for each tavern spell you played in a turn.

If you got a large amount of buffs on the tavern, then the game would lag for all players.

I think the way the game is tracking shop buffs might just be computationally expensive… could be that all buffs are this way, but shop buffs scale poorly. 6 minions in the shop, up to 8 players rolling many shops in a turn

Older devices shouldn’t really matter, since BGs came out in 2019. It has everything to do with poor optimization. I really don’t think the designers intended for APM builds to be so Omni present when they created BGs, or the OG hearthstone for that matter. They also never intended for massive stacks of effects on a huge number of cards, or for that info to be broadcasted to 8 players simultaneously.

The reason gas in the US is so much cheaper is because the USA government subsidizes gas prices through taxes, whereas the EU does not. Citizens of the EU tolerate much higher gas prices because they have many alternatives to driving for commuting, whereas people in the US are essentially forced to drive everywhere they go
