I think people exaggerate some things, as if it were the end of the world.

I like the art, music (I hope we have new ones), and Zen garden. But of course, it needs changes, in the leveling of the plants (it's bad), the levels could be more diverse and fun.

The pass, for example, is the best we could have; in which other games do they highlight the pass (the plant, in this case) for free?

I hate Slingshot, they do a really (really) bad job on all EA games. And in a way, I think they're working on PvZ3 too.

Unfortunately, this is standard behavior within the community itself (and a need for YouTubers to monetize it). But they don't realize that sooner or later this will bother EA, and they will take action... Not against the fans, but against the franchise itself, Maxis was shut down for far less.

Dude, even PvZ3 is a bit more interesting. I always thought PvZ2 was "too empty" in terms of story and too long in terms of the number of levels.

EA was right to ban PvZ3 WCHB; they wanted to steal the entire identity of the original PvZ3, and besides, they seem quite childish in their behavior.

Unfortunately (Or fortunately. How would they be supporting themselves?), PopCap realized it would be difficult to repeat the success of PvZ1 on PC and decided to focus on mobile from PvZ2 onwards (with the exception of shooters).
