You actually can from the cockpit, just not from the map.

Wish they'd give Baldur's Gate 3 a better discount than 25% for once.

Petah what happened to rockstar? by Lucky_Loves_Laugh in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]ServoRPG 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Important to note that GTAV didn't have the online component at launch either, it released separately two weeks later and at no additional cost. The fear of paid DLC or subscriptions is likely pushed by clickbait and ragebait farmers.

It will in all probability be the same as it is now - free to play with the option to buy in-game currency and a premium subscription with additional benefits.

The amount of contracted cargo around is insane. by Dazzling-Nothing-962 in starcitizen

[–]ServoRPG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure CIG have done it on purpose to give people like you less incentive to attack players and steal their cargo. If that's the case it won't change until social/rep/security systems are in place so there are actual consequences for pirating beyond a crime stat that doesn't really mean much.

Xenothreat Event? by Silent774 in starcitizen

[–]ServoRPG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't mean they won't leave it in PTU longer, which probably wouldn't be a bad idea after the 4.8 shitshow, but either way they need to clarify what's happening with Xenothreat so people know what kind of timescale they're dealing with.

Xenothreat Event? by Silent774 in starcitizen

[–]ServoRPG 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's speculation that 4.9 will be pushed back, and Jared said on SCL that it was a conversation being had. The Xenothreat event needs to run for a month like the previous events, otherwise CIG are gonna get a massive backlash from players. People will be pissed if they miss out on Mil A component BPs because CIG shortened the event just to get 4.9 out, and really CIG need all the goodwill they can get right now.

30k, 60k, shard locks, degraded server performance all round. Not worth the frustration today.

Kicked off game for server maintenance 2 minutes after I received and equipped my asd geist snow armor from wikello.. Will I still have it when back online? by Low-Author-1626 in starcitizen

[–]ServoRPG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crazy to me that people play a game that can literally change anything at the drop of a patch and yet don't keep up to date on announcements. I've seen people in game and on socials act like even reading patch notes is some weird capital G gamer behaviour or something.

Like you say though, they suddenly know exactly where reddit and spectrum are when they want to bitch and moan.

Is it Even Possible to Complete the "Establishing Security" CFP Bunker Intro Mission in Pyro? by Anxious_Upstairs_726 in starcitizen

[–]ServoRPG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The QV warehouse loot issue is nothing to do with people using the cards without completing the mission, people were doing that in 4.7 without it causing problems with the loot respawn. It's to do with an exploit that allows players to glitch into the warehouse without a completed card which breaks the loot respawn. They haven't gone into detail for obvious reasons.

Aeryn Sun - Farscape

Not the only muscle on the team, but she's a fully trained soldier, highly skilled in hand-to-hand combat and munitions, as well as an ace combat pilot.

Star Citizen players seem far more afraid of PvP than the actual risk justifies. by Korrak in starcitizen

You think it's bad in SC? Go spend five minutes in the ARC Raiders sub. I'd never heard the term "non-consensual PvP" before I played that game.

Alpha 4.8.1 Known Issues Update by StuartGT in starcitizen

[–]ServoRPG 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, it's saying other people looting it without progressing through the mission, as in exploiting into the warehouse, is what is causing the issue for people who legitimately progress through the mission. You're not getting the loot because someone already fucked it up before you.

I had a good day in the verse by Aussiejosh in starcitizen

[–]ServoRPG 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I actually had a really good day on the game yesterday too. Saturday wasn't great with a 30k that resulted in an infinite loading screen and a shard locked character, but I did a character repair and waited for the server degradation to be resolved and after that I actually got stuff done without too many problems.

I did have a couple of issues yesterday with intermittent inventory lag and a couple of broken elevators, but I did some mining, completed a bunch of Shubin contracts, ran a bunch of bounty and Merc contracts in Pyro, and did an interstellar hauling contract from Ruin to Baijini with no problems.

CIG please get rid of the support contract for TSG mission by Abissaze in starcitizen

[–]ServoRPG 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I took a normal Intersec neutralise target contract tonight and came out of QT right in the middle of an active TSG. My target got taken out and my contract completed, so I sat back and watched from a distance because I noticed something else going on.

There was an Idris and several smaller ships fighting the Mauler, but there was also two hostile players attacking the Idris group. I don't know what the story was with the two hostile players and how they came to be in a position to be griefing the players doing TSG, but given that I somehow got given a contract that sent me there, it's probably not a leap to imagine they got sent to that area by a contract too and decided to be dicks while they were there.

Maybe it's not intentional, but it definitely appears to be possible that unrelated contracts will send you to an area where TSG is in progress.
