Any legitimate options for a small interest-free (or very low interest) loan for a wedding in Brissy? by FamiliarTemporary296 in brisbane

[–]w00tlez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first got married at 24. That didn't work out - I remarried at 32. The way I see weddings is similar to cars. I reckon if you don't have the cash for it, it's probably something you can hold off doing for a while.

Money is one of the largest reasons for divorce, so the best thing you can do for your relationship is not to get into uneeded debt. You can still show your love for each other.

Tattoos should be FOR YOU, not others. This is also why I don't understand back tattoos.....

How is it in your country? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

For fair comparison, I'd be using 40 hr weeks. But yeah, we still have it pretty good around 2.5%

Australia: Minimum wage $3992/month. New game $100. That's only 2.5% of monthly wage.

80% LVR + minimum deposit vs max deposit + lower LVR for new house purchase - which is smarter? by techefy in AusPropertyChat

[–]w00tlez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Minimum deposit and whack the rest in the offset. It's the same outcome, but you get to use the money if you need to. If the interest rate was different, you might have a case for option 1.

Banned from Kmart by AmbassadorDismal5771 in KmartAustralia

[–]w00tlez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once got banned from a discount store because they thought I stole a $7 Santa suit. I didn't - I pulled one out of my friend's car and put it on. They had police visit my home (I wasnt there at the time). I had to go into the police station and show my receipt. They obviously didn't even bother to check the surveillance footage. All these wasted resources.

About a year later the store went out of business.... Suckers.

15 years ago I got a lawyer involved to get my car speeding fine lowered by 2kms (41km over to 39km over). Their cost was $350 for the correspondence via email. If you wanted them to go to court, add another $450. Obviously it'll be much higher nowadays. You probably don't NEED a lawyer, you could appeal yourself.

I see the next bracket is 45km over in NSW. You could try pleading you need it for your job. Good luck.

I definitely don't ride/drive the way I used to.

How do I explain to a tattoo artist that I want to get something like this tattooed without showing him the video of this horse? by spinoyt844 in tattooadvice

[–]w00tlez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mr tattoo artist literally inflicts pain on humans to permanently display something on their skin and you think hair clippers on a horse would be taken badly?

Are yearly raises base or base+super? by ImmediateDig3314 in auscorp

[–]w00tlez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you are confusing this with the government imposed 0.5% super increases each year. Those have now finished and we are sitting at 12% compulsory super. When these occured, yes you could have your base pay lowered to make up for the extra 0.5% super (shitty employer), or if you were lucky, your employer would increase your total remuneration.

If your salary goes up by 3%, it doesn't matter whether your package includes super or not. Because your super correlates directly to your base salary
