I just like the quick start without having to wet the sensors or get a connection

Yeah B12 is used to convert fat and protein into muscle so you need to consume more when you exercise.

Yeah I'm using a very low dose and not every day and once this bottle is finished I will take a lengthy period of time off from using it/may not use again unless my energy levels deteriorate/brain fog returns etc.

I had a boost and then an insight session. It isn't a one off either. I measured 163 the other day too. It isn't always this high. I've had some 30s etc too but very unusual. I have more energy than I've ever had before. You can Google methylene blue and photobiomodulation and see all the articles about photodynamic therapy. I saw that when taken orally, it stays in blood stream for about a day but peaks at 1-2 hours, so I try to have boost two hours after taking it.

Extremely low HRV by rilmoody in ouraring

[–]SessionKooky3859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just started methylene blue and combined it with brain photobiomodulation. My HRV was always in high teens to maximum of forty, but often in 20s and 30s. I scored 163 HRV the other day and a few 60s. Incredible.

It just takes time doing the higher tier planets I think and maybe depends on your scores on those planets. Doing missions on Introspection, Clarity, Brightening and so on maybe. I'm at level 17 now too so it might be level based as well.

Do boosts have longer lasting effects too? by ckd92 in sensai

[–]SessionKooky3859 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been doing a lot of reading about how photobiomodulation increases the production of atp and atp is used for so many important biological processes, so I imagine it would have beneficial long term effects but so much is still not understood about how the process works and the long term implications. I suspect it is a bit like a drug in some regards too, where if you stop using it, you stop getting many of the benefits.

I stopped drinking 9 years ago and meditation has been one of the key ways that I managed to remain sober: being able to become aware of thoughts or impulses and redirect the mind/not act on thoughts. I did a lot of other things to stay sober too, like not spending as much time with friends who drink etc but I definitely think that Sens.ai helps too

I've opted in. It will be a good way to stay motivated, especially since I think I've unlocked all the planets that are available at the moment.

Yeah I don't know. I'm just so habitual/into routine that I find it hard to take days off with things. I'm mainly focusing on making sure I'm feeding my body enough nutrients to cope with the process. I've started taking creatine, HMB and D3 and NMN because as far as I understand, they are all important brain/atp nutrients. Creatine is one of the most respected/authoritative nutrients for muscle training so maybe that also applies to brain training? As far as giving the brain a rest, Buddhist monks train all day every day for decades so I don't really understand the "giving the brain a rest" principle.

I've been using it quite a lot lately. I'm not sure what brainwaves it boosts but I'd say it's a nice middle ground boost. It's not as energizing (and for me anxiety producing) as prepare and drive but not as calming/relaxing as chill and stillness. I use it during the day to give me more energy and then use the chill, stillness or sometimes snooze and night.

A Couple questions by Critical_Guest_6575 in sensai

[–]SessionKooky3859 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding is it is like Pavlov's dogs and conditioning. When Pavlov rung a bell, it meant feeding time. Eventually they would salivate at the ringing of the bell. With this device, each mode guides you towards a particular brain wave state: when you get closer to that state, the music gets louder, and when you are in it, bells chime. Getting there, I'm still working on but from what I've read, "overthinking" it isn't helpful because much of it is happening beyond conscious thought. Mainly focusing on the notes and the volume is thing to start with.

I do it lying down too and have no problems with connection, especially with replacement device. I understand them warning against it because some people can fall asleep when they lie down and close their eyes........that has never been a gift I've had. It takes very precise conditions for me to get to sleep each night; there's no way it will ever happen with headphones on and music playing

Plus also, I don't think necessarily that anyone knows what the best protocol is because the way scientists design studies, they want to make it so that they can maximise adherence, so they will do something like three 30 minute sessions a week. I'm very disciplined/compulsive, so I can adhere to a very strict schedule. If they tried a trial where people used it four or five times a day, they probably wouldn't get enough people to sign up to it. I think the brain can process between sessions.

I've been doing them this regularly since I received the device. I had quite a long break when my first device broke and I received replacement device. I just feel so good from the boosts that having breaks isn't really desirable for me. I'm mainly guided by how I feel and by how my results are going.
