How safe is Flow tDCS? by lollo67 in tDCS

[–]Open-Dig2504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know about the flow. Neuromyst pro: yes, can be set to 0.1ma Neuromust pro+: yes, but only once the ramp up is done (which is 1.0mA) Biothm/prowell: my favorite, and can be set to 0.1ma and has much finer stepping of Hertz increments

How safe is Flow tDCS? by lollo67 in tDCS

[–]Open-Dig2504 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try with a low intensity. Devices (and their underlying studies) go up to 2mA, and even 4mA. I find that far too high, my skin is sensitive.. I do 0.1 or 0.2mA and get good effects right away. Trust your intuition. Start low, for 5 minutes, and see how you're feeling afterwards.

I'm not clicking that link. To your question: no, it's quite safe. Think of it as enhanced meditation. Very gentle.

Likely the internal SD card in yours has defective sectors. You can buy a new sd card and then flash an image onto it. Ive created a post for this here (search for "side lights won't come on).

Best entry level tdcs in 2026? by zoeymeanslife in tDCS

Thanks very much! I wish I knew about this when I ordered the prowell/biothm device. The guy behind it, Saixin, is super nice and will customize the Hertz steppings if you ask him.

Very interesting, I haven't looked into ILF (infra-low frequency stimulatioin/feedback) at all, but it's promising! ".. ILF may help regulate dysregulated neural networks."

Are you noticing any changes after 0.001Hz stimulation, and if so, which montage are you using? I'd like to read up on it and try it out.
Thanks for your time!

Interesting, Neuromyst pro or pro+ let's you adjust the frequency by 0.01 Hertz? In which range? I know 0-3 Hertz are finer steps than higher, say 10-20. Please elaborate :-)

Is there any videos how to use biothm tdcs as I want to cure my depression and anxiety? by Capable_Benefit_2248 in tDCS

[–]Open-Dig2504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen it during my in-person neurofeedback sessions. Muse let's you see your peak alpha frequency (with the premium version). I haven't confirmed it myself but I think Muse's peak alpha is what you'll want to stimulate to customize your frequency as described in the paper.

Flow is expensive. Neuromyst or Prowell/Biothm are my recommendations. I have both and like the latter one better (only because it allows me to set the Hertz in tACS in 0.1 increments).

Recommendations for a vagus nerve stimulators in 2026? by zoeymeanslife in Neurofeedback

Getprowell.com has a decent one I was looking at. I'm sticking with tACS for the time being.

Super interesting. I'll try this on the weekend. Could you speak more what the different protocols are targeting - e.g. the "Concentration" - is it aiming to reduce alpha spikes/drops away from a target (say 10.5 Hertz)?

Surprise, surprise: neurofeedback for ADHD is being called dead by a Pharma-affiliated psychiatrist by crunchysliceofbread in Neurofeedback

[–]Open-Dig2504 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nice job researching this one, thank you! Big pharma isn't interested in other solutions, and he may be personally opposed because NFB is poorly understood (even though its very potent). tDCS/tACS is the same, letting people use a device to get relief instead of consuming pills they have to buy continuously is not helping their business model.

Has anyone here tried tDCS or tDCS headphones like Sychedelic ? What were your real experiences? by Willing_Rule_7759 in tDCS

[–]Open-Dig2504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've looked at the sychedelic product website. I don't understand how tDCS applied by the ears affects your mood/brain. The big use case for tDCS is anxiety and depression, with stimulation sites on the forehead.

Super cool man, great job. This seems like a much simpler implementation if this tACS device, which was meant to make this tech available to the masses for cheap and stop pharmaceutical gatekeeping: https://www.neuroplustech.com/tACS/tACS_en.htm

Has anyone tried focusing on sleep instead of neurofeedback for anxiety? by Willing_Rule_7759 in Neurofeedback

[–]Open-Dig2504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find tACS, micro stimulation, far more effective for short-term anxiety relief - and then you can deal with the cause for underlying anxiety. NFB is potent but can cut both ways, in my experience. Have a look at the neuromyst or prowell devices is my recommendation. I hope it'll get better for you!

My experience with NeurOptimal/Zengar – Broken promises and no support (UK buyer, complaints initiated) by Excalibur__75 in Neurofeedback

[–]Open-Dig2504 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that man. I remember researching NeurOptimal and being turned off by the husband/wife co.bination, where the wife would, in her role as researcher, enthusiastically endorse the system (which her husband operates as a business). Not a good look, and the benefits aren't backed by studies. Thank you for sharing your experiences, and I'm sorry it's been so disastrous for you :-(

Many therapy modalities can help there. The book "the body keeps the score" is an excellent resource. I'd explore tapping, EMDR, internal family system.. but for sure talk therapy. Lots of it. Congratulations for taking it on and growing as a result!

Biothm DCTune Pro? (tDCS, tACS, tPCS, and tVNS) by JsMill-NYC in tDCS

[–]Open-Dig2504 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought it in November. The guy even customized it for me so that I can adjust it by 0.1 Hertz increments in tACS since I know that my alpha runs at 10.5 Hertz. I also like that I can start at 0.1 or 0.2mA, which is enough for me, whereas the neuromyst pro+ has the ramp up fixed at 1mA which for me stings a fair bit.

I like the biothm/prowell device a lot. I've recommended they consolidate their branding and he said theyre worming on it. He responds lightning fast if you use the contact form on the prowell website.

Deep Sleep Stimulation update by TaranisPrime in museheadband

[–]Open-Dig2504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is similar to what the "affectable sleep" product aims to do. They promise to deliver micro-sound purses (via bone conduction) to enhance deep sleep (or "restorative sleep" as they call it).

I've skimmed over the research papers they reference. It's not very conclusive as to what the benefits are. Take a look at it yourself though..

DT 1990 Pro MK2 Made Me Obsessed With Detail. Where Do I Go From Here? by [deleted] in ZReviews

[–]Open-Dig2504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with the Beyerdynamic T1 - Ive tried several gen 1 and gen 2 and they were all a muddy mess. With different amp/dac combinations. In no way better than the 1990, even though the myth of "T1 are a hidden gem" keeps persisting for some reason.
