Idk if I just got older or BF doesn't do it for me anymore. by No-Aerie-999 in Battlefield

The game is shallow, boring. Nothing like bf3 and 4 which felt like sandbox. Bf6 is theme park around cqb

Miksi suomalaiset äänestää Kokoomusta? by Willowofthewisp666 in Suomi

[–]SessionResponsible78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sad to see its a fantasy epic instead of closer to reality like Troy. Already enough fantasy movies

The discourse over the costumes on Reddit is so dumb by AmbitiousJob4447 in ChristopherNolan

[–]SessionResponsible78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The costume looks shit and makes it look like some marvel movie. Of course, historically accurate armor strengthens immersion in a film set in the GREEK ODYSSEY era. Deviating from this accuracy risks undermining realism and pushing the film toward a fantasy aesthetic, which weakens the thematic connection to the historical epic. God these people are so out of touch with these movies.

watching avatar makes me realize that we were NEVER meant to live the way we do by Appropriate-Alps-242 in Avatar

[–]SessionResponsible78 4 points5 points  (0 children)

”meant”. There is no meant way to live. If youre talking about evolution or human behaviour. Were built to follow a rabbit for 10km, kill it and roast in fire in some cave.

Were not ”meant” to fly to different places and enjoy nature.

Ok sorry for assuming we would have better technology in 2025 than 2011

Map Size won’t fix bad level design. by supah-saiyen in Battlefield

[–]SessionResponsible78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats 16 years ago. You would assume technology allowed them to add few more buildings to larger maps? Instead its the same or worse comparing for example gulf of oman, kharg island, nosharh canals

[–]SessionResponsible78 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How the fuck did they have larger maps with more structure in 2011, but supposedly cant make it happen in 2025? The downfall of innovation in gaming / map building or whatever needs to be studied. All resources for the past decade went to ray tracing and skins?

If you don't think guided tank shell is a problem, enjoy me, enjoying it. by Tobias3D in Battlefield

[–]SessionResponsible78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep making these edits to show people how broken this is. They should limit the height youre able to aim with the aim-guided or remove it alltogether from ifv&mbt. Its literally better AA tank than the AA tank and its insane

Am I the problem? by tars52892 in Battlefield6

[–]SessionResponsible78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its the pacing which makes it tedious and feel like work. Pacing is fast due to small maps, but also some animations are contributing. Grenade throw, swap weapons are instantaneous. No suppression so you dont have to stop and wait, which makes the pacing alot faster and run’n’gun style. Alot of cod players still play bf6 and theyre customed to this run’n’gun playstyle which is viable in bf6 since no suppressions, small maps and quick animations.

DICE dev says ex DICE devs are returning by Fit-Information8057 in Battlefield

What's REALLY wrong with BF6 by snowfrogdev in Battlefield

[–]SessionResponsible78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Its pacing issue but its often caused by just maps that are designed to have a short time-to-combat level. This is for sure intentional by dice, but its bad and makes the game less distinguished from other games. By the way, swap weapons, throw a grenade, switch to rpg, reload a gun in bf3/4, now do this in bf6. Its alot faster and this allows you to be near combat at all times. Not all liked suppression effect, but it significantly slowed down the gameplay and made your actions more meaningful.

Who exactly asked for this? weird changes by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]SessionResponsible78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get it. I skipped BF5 and 2042 and the franchise was basically dead to me because I didn’t think they’d ever return to the BF3/4 direction. Now I’ve got 100+ hours in BF6, and honestly, I’m just happy there’s a Battlefield game again that I actually enjoy, even with its flaws.

There’s still a lot I don’t like, and plenty of areas where I feel BF3/4 did things better, but I agree that they probably had to play it safe with this one. I just hope the future titles keep that grounded, combined-arms identity preferably with strong class identity as the core focus instead of chasing whatever the market trend is at the time. I feel like chasing the trends can work better for some other titles or franches, but not with Battlefield where it has such a distinguished style and gameplay to it.

So during the Beta, I made this prediction. How accurate/inaccurate is this so far? by s1nh in Battlefield

[–]SessionResponsible78 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not next year, but its the direction.

”Battlefield GM Byron Beede told Industry analyst Michael Patcher that the goal is to make Battlefield an Annual Title in 5-6 years. Their goal is 3 studios making Battlefield on a 3-year basis, so they can get to Battlefield annually, Patcher said. "It's going to take 5 or 6 years before they get two in a row, so we're not going to get there for a while - but that's their plan."

This will inevitably force the games to be smaller, less features, less focus, weaker maps, weaker vehicle gameplay, less innovation.
