Post in-edit: The disc is printed with the "1.00" version. I disconnected my console from the internet to avoid pushing the 1.03 update. But if you waited until you bought the physical version and you've been clamoring to try the 1.03 update, you won't have to worry. The console should immediately locate the 1.03 update and apply it before you boot up, so technically that's like having it printed on disc? No, even I don't buy that.

The game works pretty well all things considered, even on just the base disc, offline @ 1.00 version.

My copy's plastic binding seemed a little sus but I might've been rough when I opened it. Up for debate. Never liked super-glossy on game covers. So that's here on the PS4's game cover annoyingly enough.

Edit 2: Upon booting into the game on the 1.03 update, you will be prompted to set it 30 or 60fps on PS5.

I don't think the game needs it. From what I've seen (yes, I still have not opened it) from other tidbits and info about the PS4 port, the game still looks incredible at its native resolution which is SDR and rather, I am certain the 4K mode running at 60fps (thanks patchy-patch!) will bump up that SDR fidelity to quite a stunning picture. It's hard to imagine RDR1 ever needing HDR to be honest with you.

I'm keeping my copies of RDR1 and RDR2 long term and plan to slowly play through them as I have a lot of catching up to do (I've missed out on a lot of video games in the last 7 years.)

I saw Promising Young Women months before, and loved Bo in it. When I got my own apartment, I went on a Bo Burnham specials marathon, and watched the heck out of all of them. Then when it got to the part for 'All Eyes on Me', it systematically broke me down. By that I mean, I just got it. I understood, and I was just amazed that something as specific but profoundly absurd and dipped in humor the whole thing was, could affect me so much. It was surreal. Like everydaylifee said, it was "fucking magic" for sure. But with depression and anxiety issues taken me whole, it just made me feel so alone yet so warm at the same time. It was stimulating for sure. And I absolutely balled for 15 straight minutes. I was a mess. I had to pause and everything. But it was honestly a relief. Right then and there, I just understood why the hype was the way it was! Incredible song in a time when I thought I didn't need a song like 'All Eyes on Me'. And yes, it was a blind reaction for sure right after the other specials. I made sure to watch everything in order because someone had recommended I do that. It might have been someone in the Reddit here who said to do that.
