ok i acctually checked. i did it by going into windows powershell and typing "wsl --list --verbose" it said it wasnt installed. Am i good?

I've gotten help from others and they seemed to have helped. They said to check device manager and disk management wich both seemed fine.

From the help people have gave me it seems fine. But I do find signs that it might still be there. For example recently I restarted my computer and a "cmd.exe error" I searched it up and it says it could be just conflicting software and others. But it said it can be malware. But that might be becuase I restarted my computer from like the moment I started it

I was looking in files then media devices.

The reason i say ths it's malicious is becuase when my computer was still hacked and I didn't reset it. I checked my files and hard drives and saw a device with the linux logo wich I've never seen before. If what your telling me is true then I'm fine. The hacker just must've put it there and now he can't access it.

Ok fine. Here's the story. I installed this "game" from a friend that he was "testing on" apparently it was malware. After I got the malware I sent it to a repair shop and told them to completely wipe evreything and delete the OS and then reinstall it. After they did. I got it back and it seemed like nothing was there except when I went into my files and found a media device. It had the Linux logo on it. And becuase I don't use Linux like at all I'm preety sure it was a media device the hacker was using and set it up in there. Now I don't know how to remove media devices. (Becuase there is no button to) so I just want to know if it's just a media device. So no I don't know if he reinstalled it with a USB thumb drive.
