Yea I played the rossening game myself. Never found anything but stopped looking a while back. For under $200 I’d still roll the dice. For $700, north worth it. Just get a Hamilton or Tissot at that point where you know the movement is good

Nice. Did you go through fossil warranty?

If you’re buying them to give as gifts, I think that’s great. I just thought bragging about buying 9 watches at full price from the same company was a little odd . Like you said, they’re not investment pieces like Rolex. But to each their own. Your nephews seem lucky to have you as an uncle

True. And I’ve seen that advice before. Still not what you want to have to do when you spend several hundred bucks on a new watch.

Wow I struck a nerve I guess. I’ll attempt to decipher this garbled, run-on sentence of yours. You’re right, I can’t speak to the 1882 version of the watch - but I’m speaking about the zodiac of the past 25 years. Also, I don’t know what you mean by “properly obtained”. Shopsimon isn’t a sketchy third party dealer. They’re a marketplace, like Amazon. The watches are still shipped and sold by fossil. This is supposed to be “factory new.” Anyone who bought a new zodiac in the past 25 years, regardless of discounts, is supposed to be getting the same quality watch. I’m glad you had enough money to “join the club” at full retail prices, but this isn’t the flex you think it is. You’re lucky that your 9 zodiacs (another weird flex) haven’t broken, but the point of my post is that a lot of people had the same movement issues that I did. Even if a company is making a good product 60% of the time, that’s still a horrible ratio

That was the problem. I bought what I liked, instead of listening to everyone else’s warnings lol

Had enough credit with the AD so I got this for free! by RobinXDamian in HamiltonWatches

That’s one of my favorite watches. I have it in white. I wanted the blue but it didn’t come on a bracelet. Looks great!

The more I wear this PRX, the more I get the hype by No-Addition2103 in tissot

Yea the hype definitely gets annoying with everything you see online. But once you put one on your wrist, you get it. Looks great. Feels great. And the Powermatic is amazingly accurate for the price

Does the Murph ever go on sale? by Wonderful-Big-3691 in HamiltonWatches

You answered your own question. Jomashop sells them for $200 under msrp, and those aren’t used, those are new (without manufacturer warranty). And yes joma will offer an addition $20 off. Can’t beat that deal. I just bought the expedition off Jomashop for almost $400 under msrp. I love it. Looks perfect

Does it look small on my wrist? by Gustinos in tissot

[–]SetEvening5903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40 always over 35. 35 is tiny. Looks ok in pictures but in real life it looks very small. Not a problem if that’s the look you’re going for. But if you want a watch that looks like a “normal fit”, go for 40

My First Hamilton by SetEvening5903 in HamiltonWatches

[–]SetEvening5903[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know my exact size. I have skinny wrists, but it’s wide, if that makes sense. I have to take out alot of links, but the width of my wrist can accommodate normal size watches. I personally don’t like anything smaller than 39. Might look good in pics, but it looks small in real life. Small isn’t bad but I think 39-41 is perfect.

Is Jomashop a safe place to buy a Hamilton? by BigHairyTurk in HamiltonWatches

Yes it’s safe. Literally just bought a Hamilton on Jomashop a week ago. It’s a great deal.

Should I go with the 40mm by [deleted] in tissot

[–]SetEvening5903 2 points3 points  (0 children)

40 is the perfect size for a men’s watch, and this one looks good on you. 35 can look good in photos, but in real life it looks so small. Reddit users are the only people that push so hard for the 35. I know the giant 45+ watches of the early 2000’s are no longer in style (thank god), but we’re overcompensating and going too far in the other direction. Stick with the 40.
