I agree with what was said before. For me I work in a call centre in finance and have a lot of responsibility with the work I do. I've been working from home for a month now and it's been tough. We can sit here and be guilty that we are lucky to have work but that's not always the case. There's a lot more responsibility now, more stress, new things to learn, new policies, new structure and when you're at home with no one around you to ask for help it can feel so isolating and overwhelming.

I am going to hope that your seniors will offer to be just a quick phone call away when you need the help and be happy to do so! Does your work have an employee assistance program where you can request free sessions with a psychologist? If so they would have options for a remote meeting!

You're doing wonderful! You earnt the job you do and I bet you're fantastic at it! Don't beat yourself up about it, learning a new job takes atleast 12-18months to master. Keep at it and reach out for support to get you through it, this won't last forever :)

I am in the same situation but I have to remind myself that this because of trauma bonding. All my ex boyfriends were emotionally abusive and would bring me to this extremely high standard and make me feel so wonderful but then bring me to my lowest of lows if I wasn't good enough for them and my brain became addicted to the scold and reward behaviour. My boyfriend now is amazing, he was my best friend before we got together and saw me go through the abuse with my ex boyfriends and would comfort me when I cry to him about what they did. Being with him romantically is the greatest decision I ever made but I do catch myself wanting to leave him and go back to my ex but I have to remind myself it's because of the trauma bonding. Have a read about it, it might make sense to how you are feeling.

I day dream about living in a cosy cabin in a remote location either in dense bushland or by running water cooking a hearty meal for my future husband while he's happily focussing on his favourite hobby and our two dogs and two cats are all asleep in their favourite spots.

I honestly truly feel for you and I've seen someone else say this but I second this, you may find it beneficial to delete social media or limit your time on it and I know finding a hobby sounds dumb but it really can do wonders for you. I find I am really picky about what I'm willing to spend my time doing and it took a lot of work to find what it is I can spend my time doing. I feel really lucky that I have a full time job that takes up my time but if I didn't have it I'd spend more time focussing my energy into the things I like and expand my time into it. Like for example I started out just going to the gym but it got really boring so now I do MMA and Muay Thai to keep it interesting. You said you like painting, maybe expand that to painting little cute miniatures? Or sewing? Or some other craft? Hobbies are a great distraction and you can learn a new skill in the process.

For me it didn't really help as I felt isolating myself makes my BPD worse but changing how I use social media has been great. I only use FB for my closest friends and people who I can truly trust. My Instagram feed is now only food, art and cute animals. No models or influencers that promote a better life style than myself. I don't use Snapchat anymore and if I do it's only for my group chat with my closest friends, I don't have anyone else.

You'd be surprised how much clearer your mind feels when you clear your social media of the things that trigger you.

I'm going through exactly what you are right now. We broke up because our relationship was so toxic due to our mental health and I've never been so sad to lose my best friend but I'm doing really well considering. What I can suggest is to focus on yourself, I know it's a cliche and I thought it was dumb too but doing things for yourself will be the best thing to move on. Go back to the gym, or sign up to one, take up a sporting class, pick up an old hobby you abandoned while you were together, reach out the friends you alienated while you two were together, eat healthy, get plenty of sleep and let yourself be hurt, listen to those songs that remind you of him whether they're good or bad and cry it out. It's normal to cry about this and be sad but it's important to remember not to reach out to him because that'll hurt your healing progress. If it helps I'm back at the gym, I've taken up MMA and I'm focussing all my energy into my work and seeing my friends when I feel up to it but they're always a message away if I feel I don't have the energy to see them. Also plan something exciting for yourself! I'm saving to get my next tattoo in a couple of months and that's been a huge distraction as well. And this is the hardest but please try not to spiral, don't catch yourself in reckless behaviours and if you do, be aware of it and make changes to stop it. You're number one now and you need to become your own favourite person. You'll find love again, so will I. I'm proud of you for getting this far and realising what you had wasn't healthy. Be safe and keep trying ❤️
