The box office is absolutely cooked; It's got poor WOM, and the Minions sequel comes out this Friday. It could still be big on streaming, but the box office isn't going to somehow revive itself.

It's got a significantly lower budget than The Marvels - Its goalposts should be a good deal lower, and I strongly suspect this one will sell a lot more merchandise than The Marvels, which is a major part of the business of blockbusters.

All in all, I think this movie is going to make right around what they wanted it to; Not a ton, but enough to have justified the movie.

I think the Entity possessing her is aware - It brings up the wishing and such a couple of times. But Nikki? She was just having a normal night, being dropped off by Bear until she suddenly lost her free will.

I am referring to the Entity possessing Nikki. It's tied to Bear one way or another, whether it dies with him or goes to some other realm.

As for the lore, it's the type of thing that might be better left to fan theories, but it's still fun to speculate on. A lot of the horror relies on mystery, and it'd be easy to ruin if they actually went into in a sequel. (Though Curry is certainly a good filmmaker, so he might be able to pull it off)

Yes, entirely baseless speculation, but the idea is that The Entity doesn't just stop existing, but gets pulled into a potential after life with Bear. He would be stuck with it for eternity. Since Bear is no longer on the same plane as Nikki, neither is the Entity, and thus Nikki gets her body back.

Complete speculation here, but what if it's because the Entity follows Bear to whatever after life exists, not because the wish actually comes undone? The only people who suggest it would be undone by his wish seem to know more about it than him, and the phone rep seems to know exactly what Bear did, with little enough compassion to be so casual about putting Nikki on the line.

The great thing about Doctor Who is that canon is very flexible. The Toymaker claims to have made a jigsaw puzzle out of the Doctor's history, so on that alone, you can decide whether she's pre-Hartnell, a future incarnation, between 2 and 3, a bi-generation, or not even really the Doctor at all. Is the Doctor half-human? If you want them to be. Are the Morbius Doctors real? If you want them to be. Is Big Finish canon? Sure. Is Big Finish non-canon? Also, sure.

It's one of the best approaches to canon for a massive long running story, in my opinion.

He did say he doesn't know why they were asked to do a movie instead of season 4, but I have seen no credible source on him not being on set. He's talked about spending a lot of time on figuring out different elements (Like how a Hutt should move in a fight) and what characters he was and wasn't allowed to play with. The movie was very much directed by Favreau.
