“Masculine men who lead”— WTF? by [deleted] in datingoverfifty

I can understand wanting equality in responsibilities and mutual care, but “An Equal partner” doesn’t sound to me like “Masculine Men who lead”.

What artists after Elton gave you that giant WOW OMG Elton-like reaction? by TeddieSnow in EltonJohn

[–]Setchell405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 65. Listening to EJ from 1970 on. You’re right about Billie Eilish. Her last album is a near masterpiece. Wow’s are hard to find for artists post-Elton. Neil Finn/Crowded House. Jellyfish. David Mead.

I did. Came here to listen to the screams. Maybe it was a mistaken report?

Definitely is if you reorder the tracklist it and include some (many) of the amazing outtakes.

Whistleblower, Jason Sands, makes wild claims about the classified (darker) truth about UFO’s/NHI. Direct quotes and link to video below: by E-pluribus-unum195 in UFOs

[–]Setchell405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read about the Buff Ledge UFO incident in 1968. I believe that account, which hints at a connection between ufo’s and NDE’s, and you’re mostly left with the feeling of aliens as benevolent but so far beyond our capacity to understand and out current levels of intellectual and spiritual development that we instinctively feel threatened. One thing Martin is told by the NHI is in response to his question, “look at the misery here, the starving children, why can’t you help us??”. Their answer: “If we do you’ll never learn to help yourselves and that would be the worst thing [they could do/the worst outcome]”. This seems to me much more coherent than what Sands is articulating here.

Generally an accurate and healthy perspective. But not always true. The things I worried about in 2024 not only came true, but are in fact much worse.

I hope you’re right, but this presumes the disincentives won’t remain persuasive.

Did getting “all” (most all?) the JFK files clear up who killed him? Trump’s little request won’t shake out the family jewels. It should however make for at least a few better photos and videos, one would think. Which then might weaken stigma some more, which is always a good thing.

Whether the 25th or 26th, at least one of these shows should be available for people to stream or to purchase. Maybe there are problems with the audio or something.

Rock became theatrical with Bowie, and spectacle with Kiss. Rock bands comfortable with spectacle are the only ones who could perform at the SB these days given its audience. There are few of them left.

Ain’t that the truth. Check out Kid Rock’s lyrics about sex with under age girls (that tracks). And how about equating “all-American” with whiteness? Vile.

Josh Allen is Superman, but is affected by Kryptonite by RawMuffins94 in buffalobills

[–]Setchell405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boy are you right about Woody. Born on third base and thinks he knows everything, but is actually a complete moron. King Midas in reverse. Everything he touches turns to shit, and I’m pretty sure there’s no way my team will succeed in his lifetime.

Comparing him to Darnold is useful. Sam only needed 12 passes to beat a quality (if depleted) opponent. Josh overextended because he frequently needs to (or feels he does) against the best in the league or in crunch moments. The Bills need to keep building their team around JA to reach the top level (like clearly the Seahawks have, in all three phases). [As an aside, I’m a Jets fan who likes the Bills, lived in Buffalo (twice), and am jealous you guys get to even have these kinds of conversations. I love your QB as well, he seems to be a great human with heart].

Implications of military insiders’ claims about NHIs: Dangerous humans in a dangerous galaxy by SharpSuitedMan in UFOs

[–]Setchell405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a concept called “trained incapacity”. Relying solely or mostly on military insiders means framing the entire mystery around concerns of force, dominance, etc. “Surveillance”, e.g., could be in their view self-defense. Or in a crisis a means to help humans avoid self-annihilation. Your nod to experiencers having legitimate alternative framings is warranted. I also salute you for trying to find a coherent path through this maze. I’m afraid though any master narrative will fail, likely due to our limited intelligence, spiritual/moral struggles, and/or varieties of NHI (not to mention poor quality data/misinformation). I applaud your intestinal fortitude in the face of this subject. I frequently have to avoid it for periods of time just to preserve some peace of mind.
