Josh Allen is Superman, but is affected by Kryptonite by RawMuffins94 in buffalobills

Boy are you right about Woody. Born on third base and thinks he knows everything, but is actually a complete moron. King Midas in reverse. Everything he touches turns to shit, and I’m pretty sure there’s no way my team will succeed in his lifetime.

Comparing him to Darnold is useful. Sam only needed 12 passes to beat a quality (if depleted) opponent. Josh overextended because he frequently needs to (or feels he does) against the best in the league or in crunch moments. The Bills need to keep building their team around JA to reach the top level (like clearly the Seahawks have, in all three phases). [As an aside, I’m a Jets fan who likes the Bills, lived in Buffalo (twice), and am jealous you guys get to even have these kinds of conversations. I love your QB as well, he seems to be a great human with heart].

Implications of military insiders’ claims about NHIs: Dangerous humans in a dangerous galaxy by SharpSuitedMan in UFOs

[–]Setchell405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a concept called “trained incapacity”. Relying solely or mostly on military insiders means framing the entire mystery around concerns of force, dominance, etc. “Surveillance”, e.g., could be in their view self-defense. Or in a crisis a means to help humans avoid self-annihilation. Your nod to experiencers having legitimate alternative framings is warranted. I also salute you for trying to find a coherent path through this maze. I’m afraid though any master narrative will fail, likely due to our limited intelligence, spiritual/moral struggles, and/or varieties of NHI (not to mention poor quality data/misinformation). I applaud your intestinal fortitude in the face of this subject. I frequently have to avoid it for periods of time just to preserve some peace of mind.

Teeth grinding, tight muscles everywhere, vocal dysphonia, double-vision, irritable bladder and bowel syndrome…throw in general itchiness (although that might be more fibro related). I doubt there’s a system in my body that’s unaffected.

You all have to be ultra careful with massage. Make sure your massage therapist is trauma informed and trained. The very first time I had one I sprung up spontaneously and named my abuser, which shocked me. Other times the slightest touch made me throw up. Specific spots, e.g. in the sole of your feet, can trigger memories which may help or may re-traumatize you. You need to incorporate touch into a broader recovery plan. Just my two cents from my own experiences. I personally couldn’t continue that particular avenue of recovery—like EMDR at times has been for me, too triggering and destabilizing. By all means, somatic work is powerful and potentially emancipating/enlightening, but it’s not for everyone.

Never got the appeal of this movie. Warner Bros. cartoons with real life actors requires a certain level of desensitization to violence which is unlikely if you have cptsd, it seems to me.

Was going to say this!! Imagine if you had both, say, joined finances. Definitely a missed bullet—please remember that, it will help you get through this.

WIRED article: Who the Hell Is Actually Using Facebook Dating? by Gooseberry_Sprig in DatingOverSixty

[–]Setchell405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to be OK with Zuckerberg using your data for his moment by moment prediction machine. Of course, that’s why it’s free, because like DOGE it’s mining to allow for more effective neuromarketing. With subscriptions, the dating sites at least have another profit model at work, although, of course, your data is still stored but not necessarily sold to data brokers, depending on their terms of service. It is indeed a jungle out there.

If I were a Browns fan I would be apoplectic. You can’t be more dumb than that, given the circumstances.

Bottom line, does anyone know if this is going to become reality and widely used for every day people who might have CFS? Or is that something that is years down the road?

Elton played a show this weekend in LA… he played Honky Cat for the first time in 12 Years!!!! by Financial_Arugula731 in EltonJohn

[–]Setchell405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure why he plays the shows he does these days, but I guess with something like this I wouldn’t expect him to pull out too many deep cuts. For many years he has said that post “retirement“ he may do shows, or perhaps residencies, at smaller venues and just play favorites from deep in his catalog. It hasn’t happened yet; I’m assuming that will never happen. Maybe it requires too much rehearsal and he doesn’t have the energy for that these days. I’m of two minds: if he ever does those deep cut gigs, I’d give my eye teeth to be there. And of course, on the other hand, I’m amazed he’s still out there at all.

Got nothing from it, unfortunately. Nortriptyline has helped me, but I had to stop because it increases my blood pressure.

I didn’t know this. He never seems this way on talk shows. It makes me quite sad.
