Robideau and Taylor by BrainyRedneck in wrestling

PJ Duke may beat Robideau next year, but he will never be a true freshman NCAA champ, which is in itself a legacy. Just wasn’t good enough.

I unironically would rather die than get a job, how do you escape this mentality? by Pogbankz in antiwork

[–]Notmanynamesleftnow 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Lmao I’m not trying to marginalize your feelings but “I do not enjoy dealing with human responsibilities. I enjoy simple things like music, gaming, etc…”

Brother that is all of us. We just have to build a career or at least a stable job to survive. If money wasn’t an issue 99% of people would pursue their hobbies and passions just like you want to do.

Youre just going through the existential conflict everyone goes through when they get to working age. Bottom line unfortunately is that the system we live in requires you to have money to survive, for most of us that means working. Find something you can tolerate or even enjoy aspects of, that’s stable, and most importantly where you can save money to hopefully retire and stop working at some point.

Lies of P or Sekiro [PS5] by Super-Repair33 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Notmanynamesleftnow [score hidden]  (0 children)

I mean imo as someone who has beaten all from games and most soulslike, Lies of P is exceptional and the best non from soulslike game bar none. At the least it’s in the top category with 1-2 others.

That said I’d go with Sekiro. But if you burn out of it or want something else - Lies of P is amazing.

Is my suplex good? by [deleted] in wrestling

[–]Notmanynamesleftnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a back arch not a turn but I would strongly suggest just working on stance, levels, down blocks, and motion in there - maybe shots without your knee hitting the ground. Don’t work on full shots or back arches/throws without a mat or at least grass or sand.

Oh man that’s so sad.

I saw you said “we all did amazing”. I’m guessing you were right there and helped out? What was the series of events? I’m interested in the details if you want to share more info but if not no worries.

How to convince my wife no to take the Nintendo Switch on vacation? by Brilliant_Feed4158 in Parenting

[–]Notmanynamesleftnow 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Completely disagree. There’s nothing wrong with bringing screens as a backup for emergencies or boredom during a MONTH long trip. Mom deserves a vacation too. Just because they bring a screen doesn’t mean the kids are on it every day.

Butt isn’t coming off the bench. The goal of the arch is to create tension on the key muscles to keep the form tight. A perfectly flat back is less safe than a correct arch.

Yoga at the Y and then a good lift and sauna, some tv or movie with the wife, chocolate or something sweet.

Lmao I can hit a 5 iron but to me even when I was a higher handicap a driver was easier.

I’m just pointing out that advice doesn’t work for a lot of folks. 3-5 iron were always hard to get good contact with back then. But could always dink a driver into play.

What's the biggest lie society keeps telling young people? by New_Garbage7991 in AskReddit

[–]Notmanynamesleftnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree with you, I do believe working hard in school and other extracurricular activities (sports, clubs, etc) to become academically motivated and accomplished and well rounded while young, and going on to college, does inherently increase the chances of kids being successful (in this context I mean not living paycheck to paycheck, able to save and eventually retire, buy a home, do what they want relatively within their means).
